I can understand how wanting to get the forum's name known on the net may seem like a good idea, but one has to remember that the bigger the name, the more moron/spammers/flame-trollers ect. you have the chance of attracting. I remember that brief period when the Undershelter came dangerously close to becoming 4chan re-deux, fortunatly that fire was put out before it got going, but it's not something I'd care to see repeated.

In any event, the change in leadership has already been taken care of, I say we strap ourselves in and enjoy the ride!

Advertising on 4-Chan? You'd get 4-Chan members coming here.
Advertising on a well respected spriting/gaming website? You'd be more likely to get more sensible members. Interforum advertising gets you people who are already used to posting on forums and have a grasp of common rules.

I'll have to agree with not needing to advertise the forum, but we aren't exactly stuck in a corner without a means off attracting newer members. If you look at the big picture, I can see many other forums that are in some way connected to here. Namely EN and MG forums, as well as TRG still having us linked even though most of the other Fireball sites don't.

Honestly, we're still gonna bring in the unwanted, with or without advertising, but if we handle them right, we can push them to the point where they don't act like little kids who've never used a computer for anything other than searching for porn.

Though I would like to see the OMGWTHBBQ crowd take a hike, that would mean that those of us left will either whine about Admin abuse, or deal with flamers wanting so and so gone too, which will seem like favoritism. We could always get rid of the spam bin and then warn/ban these people to your hearts content, but then we take away some of that feeling that you're trying to bring back to this place.

Also, many of the older members who stayed here while the others left, got banned cause they got tired of this too and said stuff they could have kept in a PM, i.e. Sammi. If some of the older members come back and see so and so gone, they might just leave again.

We'll just have to wait and see how everything goes along. I have, and always will, trusted the staff to keep this environment fun and appealing, and I look forward to what may be next.

GUA - Dunno if you know the placer at all. It's called giveupalready.com, a place that has its share of good and bad users, generally a crazy lot. This place roleplays, so it's probably a fan of plenty of other stuff.

AHS - Another roleplay forum, one I know personally. The people are good, mostly, and I think they'd be cool to have around here. I know alot of them there, so I can vouge for their...ummm...character. Heh heh.

Nuklear Powered Forums - Home of 8-Bit Theater! Why not? They're okay people, for the most part. You could do a whole heck of alot worse.
