Yeah...there's going to be a film adaptation of American McGee's fun little romp through the dark side of Wonderland. Somewhat disappointing thing is that they're hoping to portray a 17-18 year old catatonic girl with...Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Too early to speculate on anything, but it'll probably bomb since it'll most likely lose the atmosphere of the game.

Haha, I heard about that.
The atmosphere I could garauntee be kept if Steve Burton was heading it in stop motion :0

Lose the atmosphere of the game...well it's not like the game is something that's so abstract that the only way to portray it in a film would be to dress the cahracters as extras from Dr. Who. (Or Raiders from World of Warcraft...)
When you consider that the game is an old one, what, ten years, and film technology has changed considerably since then, they can probably do it easily with CGI...Or with Pan's Labyrinth. Some parts look a little like American McGee's Alice. (Pale Man chase, anyone?)

The game isn't ten years old, it came out around 2000-2003 area. Technology may have changed, but Sarah Michelle Gellar's acting sure hasn't improved.

@#$%. They're going to ruin one of my favorite games.

What? She has to be about 30 now and with her acting there's no way in hell that she could play a 17-18 year old girl! They would be far better off finding a complete unknown to play the part.
Well it could be worse like "The Olsen Twins in: American Mcgee's Mary-Kate and Alice".
... *Shudder*

There have been good Alice in Wonderland films, there have been bad Alice in Wonderland films. I can't see this one being great. With apologies to Alastor, the game wasn't that great to start off with.
