Title: Best And Worst Comic Book Cartoons
Description: Pick whatever you want.

Slightly inspired by a little list on IGN and the fact that I've been returning to the age where I used to watch lots of cartoons based on popular comic books, I wanted to make a topic where you mention the best and worst cartoons you've seen based on comic books. I'll start...

Best Cartoons
This is a tough one. I'd love to shout "Iron Man", but I only got to see the poorly made first season as a kid and have yet to run into season 2. But there is another one that didn't give me any bad memories at all (except one).

Spider-Man TAS. Next to Iron Man, Spider-Man is my favorite super hero and I can't remember a day when I didn't know who he was. He's a legend with many successful comics, movies and cartoons.
The cartoon was just great. I'm still a bigger fan of Iron Man, but Spider-Man's cartoon was so much better than Iron Man's bizarre adventures. Thanks to this cartoon I got a lot of knowledge about the Marvel universe as well. I got to know The Punisher (who's a number 3 on my favorite "hero" list), Blade (who looked so freaking awful in this show, but it was still more of a relief than the shitty Blade movies) and now my memory is getting weak. But a lot of cool characters. And words can't describe all of the other things I loved about this show.

Batman TAS and Batman Beyond (or whatever it was called) were good cartoons as well, but I'm a Marvel kid and can barely stand DC's creations. But I always liked Batman more than anything else DC has ever done.

Another cartoon I'd like to mention would be Fantastic 4 2006 (or whatever year it was). But I'm very new to this show and haven't seen much yet... the character designs makes me roll my eyes, but I still enjoy them. I'd love to see more of this one.

Worst Cartoons
A somewhat hard one. One thing I can mention is that Avengers (not ULTIMATE Avengers) really bored me.
I could add Iron Man season 1 as well. I don't hate it that much since it gives me happy memories and the fact that it introduced me to my favorite hero, but it's just not very good. I loved this show as a kid (pretty much anything could entertain me in my young days), but now it kinda makes me cringe. But it's worth watching for a laugh. It's really annoying that Iron Man never got enough attention since he was in a middle of a very illogical team of super heroes and the way they re-used some of the animation was really stupid. Mandarin's team of supervillains weren't good either, since as much as I used to love this show, I hated all villains except Mandarin.

And... the way War Machine's mouth on his helmet moved in the first episode when he was talking was enough proof that this show was doomed to fail, until Marvel changed production houses and gave Iron Man the justice he deserves. Seeing the second opening (BEST SONG EVER) for the first time of my life a few weeks back is enough proof for me that Iron Man season 2 will not disappoint me. I wouldn't mind reviewing it someday when I've watched it.

I'm going to have to say that the best Comic Book cartoons in my opinion are:

"Sam and Max" I loved the mixture of the pseudo-intellectual banter with the insane slapstick action scenes parodying the hard-nut detective genre. Plus there's nothing better than seeing a psychopathic rabbity thing go berserk XD

"The Tick" a kick in the balls to the superhero genre, watching the giant blue dunce rushing into the thick of battle while talking incoherent gibberish about justice and dragging his poor underpowered (but far smarter) sidekick with him is always good for a giggle. Not that I have anything against the superhero genre, but it made a good change of pace from the competent superheros.

As for the worst:

I could never get into (and in some cases even dispised) the Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk and Iron Man cartoons, they all bored the living crap out of me. The animation and voice acting weren't the best that they could have had at the time either I mean the VAs were more concerned with sounding heroic than expressing the feelings the characters had at the time. The animation seemed really rushed, it wasn't that smooth, they repeated animation cells so often I felt deja vu every 6 seconds and the repeated cells weren't even decently edited in. I'm not going to comment on the storylines to these shows because I either switched over to something else or fell asleep after 10 seconds of that tripe.

But that's just MY opinion.

Spider-Man TAS was very well animated and a great series altogether. Some episodes were kinda weak and some downright awful but most of it was great and it still stands as one of the best marvel cartoons in my opinion.

Batman, well... I think the reason I didn't get into it very much as a kid was because I found it too dark or something. I just didn't get into Batman until I got older.

X-Men. I saw awfully little X-men even though I liked the cartoon. Not sure why.

Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes was enjoyable. For some reason it was cancelled.
The character designs kinda irked me at first.
It has some great action scenes, like in hard knocks for instance but I also enjoy it because it's humorous. Like when the four accidently shrink themselves and Ben decides to make the biggest sandwich ever.

As for the bad ones...

Well, I've only seen one episode of The Avengers: United They Stand and felt like I had to throw up. The character designs and design overall was just awfull. It was also kinda boring.

Iron Man was terrible but it gave you a good laugh. It was so bad that it's funny. Of course I'm referring to the first season.
The series starts of with Mandarin who wants an undead russian zombie army at his bidding even though he has like 10 lackeys at his side from the very beginning who are not even introduced.
Iron Man gets burned by Fin Fang Foom under water and his sidekicks who can breathe under water for some reason comes to save him. They also have a tendancy to dress as super heroes when they're not even on super hero business.
It ends with Titanium Man who we don't know anything about appearing and gets his ass kicked as fast as quickly as he was introduced.

Then the Fantastic Four cartoon from the 90s was just so bad it wasn't funny.
It sported horrible animation and boring episodes.
For those of you brave enough I present to you The Human Torch Rap.

And that's all I can think of for now.

There's a new series of Fantastic 4? O_o

Obviously I was referring to the 90s versions of those cartoons, which I think we can all admit, were gawd awful... espacially that song, thank you Otaku for causing my brain to melt into a non-sentient, viscous ooze.

o wiat there are some of the worst [and hated] that i want to mention.

in that order are

This old spider man series [not the original or other remakes but one certain remake] which was like

civilian - o my god that man is commiting a crime....

parker - o my god i better get dressed! [opens shirt to reveal suit in public before walking into an aley but nobody notices]

[An EXACT quote]

The next is Xmen Evolution. Goddamn semi-movie based over extended pile of rotting feacal...well i could go on but the point has already been established
