Ok, because you seem to not want to drift too far from the norm, I say you use Tales of the World Sprites. They're more chibi-fied than most human bases, so you're not a complete fish out of water - and you can incorporate your original design easier.

With a (very) brief look, these 2 sheets may be a good start. The ninja one even gives you a headshape to start with!

how about a species change? I've not seen a wolf anthromorph sprite yet.

Wolf Anthro? You kidding? EVERYONE does a wolf anthro. In fact, I believe our very own Janus is a wolf anthro.

AVOID WOLF ANTHROS. God didn't make countless other species just so you could be a wolf.

One guy did a Tails/Tales character. I liked the way it looked.

Stick with editing Tales of the wold characters. it'd do ya good.

And read up on the tutorials, cause they may help you improve your 'skills in progress'

yes i know quite a lot of wolf anthros actually....besides species change is out of the question sadly
