Title: WIP: TJ Sheet

<Click Here For Sprites>
Bases used: Giro, Vent, plenty of Tales of the World sprites, Naruto, Sauske, and Lee.

Da Facts

TJ gets much of his influence from the "Tales of" series, as such he'll probably have a lot of combos in the sheet. I plan on him being able to fight Double-Sword, Single-Sword, Magic, and hand-to-hand combat. I only have one spell on there as of right now for two reasons

A) The sheet is big enough as it is. I'd rather add the effects AFTER I'm done with everything else.

B) I plan on making the effects eventually, and maybe redoing the Indignation Judgement effects due to them being rushed.

The swords, I think look alright(Ignore the odd looking swords at the top right, those are just experiments that I did)

I will be adding some more casual poses later on, just not now since I already have a crapload of work to do.

What I need

Yeah, I need some stuff. Surprising, isn't it?

I need some single sword poses that isn't Cless'. Perferably held in the right hand.

This was a tough one... I thought about it for a while...so here's what I've come up with...

It'll require some heavy editing and repairing, but first off, Ghin, who has the moves to be a sword handler and Agile.

Hikaru's head...but change the hair a bit.

Kenshin uses his Right hand to swrd fight, so arms from him could provide some variety in movement.

Rid will supplement for whatever is left over.

I'm a bit iffy about the body choice, so that's up to you.

I think you're kinda on your own for swords.

Used Hikaru's head, and Llyod's (Here's the base for those who want it Llyod Irving- Brought to you by the original ripper and me)) body. I've been doing Llyod's poses for a while now, and I felt like it was a good fit for the head(Although it looked odd facing the other way)

Betatronic - December 7, 2006 01:19 AM (GMT)
It looks comical with that head, but if you wanna keep it that way, it's your choice.
I'd suggest choosing a bigger body.

TeaOfJay - December 7, 2006 03:22 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I didn't notice that until just now... But I may have found a solution! ...Or two. <.<

Now I'm rather attached to Llyod's body, since it's easy for me to work with as TJ gets some of his appearence from him. So I thought "Maybe if I made the body bigger, the head wouldn't look so comical." And so the growth spurt began.

Then I thought of something else; that's where Rid's head came in. His hair looked really close to what I had on the ZX version so with a quick "What the hell?" and edited the head and attached it to a body.

Now the question is: Which one looks better?

(From left to right: Unmodded(Hikaru), Modded(Hikaru), Unmodded(Rid), Modded(Rid)

I prefer the unmodded Rid-head myself, so that's the choice I'm leaning towards at the moment.

Extend the waist and legs a bit, Modded Hikaru.

Small: Modded Rid.

QUOTE (Betatronic @ Dec 6 2006, 07:41 PM)
Small: Modded Rid.

Can you elaborate a bit more on that?

Betatronic - December 7, 2006 04:54 AM (GMT)
If you wanna change his size, go with the first.
If you wanna stay small like that, stick with rid.

Yeah, sorry for the lack of updates. But now I finally stopped being lazy and started working on the sprites again, and now I've hit a dead end.

The old swords were crappy and way to short, so I decided to edit the swords that Lloyd already came with. Problem is, the sword in his left hand is supposed to be thin, but I don't want it to be too thin. So maybe you guys can tell me which of the three samples is the proper thinness level.

SketchedHero - January 3, 2007 01:34 AM (GMT)
Personally, I prefer the one in the middle...
The first one seems too big, but the last one seems WAY too small...

May I say for you, TJ, is that you need a beter body? The head is WAY too big for this body you have right now.

TeaOfJay - March 1, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
Holy hell, the last time I posted here was in early January? Damn.

Anyways, being the fickle bastard that I am, I did a sudden character change. This one is slightly more orignal than the last one. Or at least I think so. <.<

I went back to the standard T-shirt and jeans. The shading isn't awesome, but only because I just whiped it together in a few minutes. I used the hair from the head I made Fireyone, and Naruto as a base. The weapons you see are from the Model ZX sheet, but only because I can't sprite weapons worth crap.

The weapon is called the "Ryusei", and basically it changes to multiple forms of weaponry, as you can see by both the gun and sword hilt there. The bladed weapons are beam sabers, since blades can't just pop out after changing a gun to a sword and vice-versa. What I need is a weapon that looks kind of high tech, mostly white with a little green in the center somewhere. I'll try my hand at making the Ryusei, maybe even improve my skills while I'm at it. So far, I have thought of these functions for the Ryusei:

Sword
Gun
Lance
Tonfa
Twin swords (Think two halves of the lance handle)
Kunai
Shuriken

Any and all help will be appreciated.

His colors need help. :o You should stick with his old design, using that base.
