The introduction was already made down below in the original All Your Base Topic, so let me introduce the new section's function and rules!

~The Primary function of AYB is to weed out the now excessive use of Megaman Zero Edits for character sprites by offering alternatives and resources to do so.
~AYB is essentially an open source Spriting section now. I
will be making a webpage which will make organization of the sprites easier, and also feature characters who have been finished.
~When you pose a sheet here, or want to make a character, the sprite is public domain for
this section only~! That means within the confines of these topics, people can actively work on each other's sheets, adding additions, poses, ideas, and suggestions. The idea is
teamwork. Everyone works on everyone's sprites, and thus allows things to be done easier and more effectively. If you post a topic in here, you WILL be expected to participate.
~Additionally, the point is not to let everyone completely make your work. You're still expected to do you own work, but you can get help from other people this way, and have them improve on things. Be curteous... this is not the place for needless critisizm, and if you don't want what someone makes, be sure to thank them for it anyways.
~When the site gets done, I'll have a showcase where all finished sheets will get shown off on ReadyFyght and be credited to it's
original creator. However, I'll only accept sheets which also thank anyone who helped make the sprite through contributions of ACTUAL SPRITES and not just advice.
~In order to get an idea on HOW to provide advice and help, check out the original 'all your base' topic where both Sparks and I did examples for people. Strife Hiro also provided a very good display.

So here are the rules:
1)
This is not Bit by Bit. All sprite sheets, and comics and shit go in bragging rights. Nobody is here to give a shit about your previous work, or give you comments outside of progress being made on the sprites. So
do not post finished sprite sheets here
unless you intend to get it upgraded.
2)Again, if you are getting help here, you are expected to at least give ideas or suggestions to other people's works, if not actually helping sprite the characters.
3) Stolen work, as always, will result in either banning or warning. Don't steal sprites. This section is open to let one another work on their characters, but under the code of honor. And bannage. That's right, I'm a Mod now, so bad shit can happen to offenders.
4)There's going to be guidelines for working in this section, so make sure to follow them. If they're violated, the topic will be erased.
Anyone who violates the above rules save for #2 will have their topics erased, and possibly warned, depending on the severity.
Note! Double posting is allowed here, but ONLY to ask questions or show progress.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Making Topics:
So here's how it goes... Each topic, like the TFS comics or Artist corner, is restricted to ONE TOPIC per character or sprite. Each topic can also be dug up from the graves if need be to continue working on it.
If I didn't make myself clear, everyone can help out making the sprites. So only make one topic per character, and you can go back to it again and again, and people can help until it's finished.
Important Note: If you want help with your character, be sure to provide a sheet of any parts and pieces used for the sprite as well as the base sprite in the topic, so other people have access too it too, and maybe let them improve on their works.
Topic titles should be like so:
New: Megamez ONLY FOR PRE-EXISTING SPRITES BEING IMPROVED
Upgrades are improving on an old sprite, or de-airhumpifiying (De-Zeroing) an old character. To make this work, you first post your old sprites that need improvement. Then give a short description of the character's function and what you want for it...swordsman, dark based, Lanky, tall, bulky, muscular, have a tail, have claws, based on jumping alot... so on.
WIP: Megamez ONLY FOR BRAND NEW PROJECTS!
Making a Work in Progress. That means you have yet to make the sprite, or only have a few done and want to continue.
Again, post the general idea of what the character is supposed to be so people can provide suggestions.
RQ: Hands! Help!RQ means request! If you need something for a character, or need ideas, request it here in this topic, and then it will essentially become a WIP. After you get what you need, don't post in this topic anymore.
Remember, if you're posting in this section, that means you actively want to participate in making sprites for people. If they help you, you help them. Teamwork makes things go alot faster!Don't be afraid to talk about comics or projects that relate to the sprite because it will help people help you!

The Chosen
I'm gonna be looking out for obvious talent in spriting. Don't bitch on how I choose, because I have an eye for what's good and what's not.
Right now, Zhilo and SparksFox are my Chosen assistants who can provide the best information on how to make a sprite, so they'll be running by often to try and lend a hand when they can. They aren't there to make the sprite for you. But if you're a chosen, you got a job to try and assist people as much as you can.

Open Source pixelart and TFS
Know why I did this? Because people aren't pushing themselves. AYB is a start at making this place more active in their works, like pixeltendo, and maybe even draw new members in interested in this kind of work.
This I hope, will coax spriters to push the limits of their talent and go further, expanding your mind.
And for the hell of it, it's free help!
Yes, I DID provide Zero sprites, but not all of them, and hardly that many. The idea is to avoid them and step outside the box a bit.

Resources and Tutorials
I'm going to have a resource topic where you can get a spriting program, and good places to get other materials, as well as the AYB homepage on ReadyFyght.
Occassionally, I'm going to add my ideas to a Tutorial section so one can learn the tricks of the trade. It's not closed off to everyone though... if you have some cool ideas you want to share, then be my guest and show it off there.
