Well, I noticed that what is probably the biggest event of the year (Presidential Elections? bah!), Spider-Man 2, is not yet being discussed on this forum.
Now that
the trailer is out, I must say that it looks sweeeeet.
I saw the guy playing Doctor Octupus, Alfred Molina, in New York in the new production of Fiddler on the Roof... if he can act Doc Ock HALF as well as he played the main character in that, this movie will surpass the original.
"If I were a rich man,
digga digga digga digga digga digga dum,
All day long I'd DESTROY SPIDER-MAN! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
If I were a wealthy man!"
Also, the CG effects look even cleaner than the original, and James Franco, the guy playing Harry Osborne, looks suitably pissed and neurotic to play someone who is probably going to be the new Green Goblin in Spider-Man 8: THE SINISTER SIX. (not, to my knowledge, a real movie).
Tobey Maguire I'm not so much a fan of. He's suitable playing Pete Parker, but he just isn't enough of a smart ass to banter properly as Spidey.
It'll be interesting to see what kind of plot they can deliver this time around, since they can avoid the origin backstory.
Also, I think this will be better than X-Men 2, which I didn't hate, but I wasn't blown away either.
And maybe this can finally whipe the mediocre taste of Daredevil out of our mouths...
We can only hope, right?
BobCat AWAY! :mwa:
