Title: Fullmetal Alchemist

Mr. G - March 19, 2006 03:59 PM (GMT)
So, who saw the final episode last night?

Largo-Sama - March 19, 2006 04:34 PM (GMT)
I did. And as a note, the movie fills out the last pieces to the ending.

...

And the second one will fill in everything else. >.>;;;

Mr. G - March 19, 2006 04:35 PM (GMT)
There's a second movie?

Largo-Sama - March 19, 2006 04:37 PM (GMT)
Yes, but it is only in the works at the moment.

(i.e. "You heard nothing")

duskstalker - March 19, 2006 05:01 PM (GMT)
Final Episode? But they're only half-way through the Chuunin exams... unless the American networks are that far ahead of the Canadian networks(stupid YTV)

....................... :smek: We are talking about FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST, not Naruto.

duskstalker - March 19, 2006 05:14 PM (GMT)
.................................shit :smek:

Got my titles mixed up, we're even farther behind on that... second or third episode, I think...

Dragon 665 - March 19, 2006 05:37 PM (GMT)
... there's a movie? o.0 anyways, I watched it with my FMA-fanatic half-bro last might, and gotta say, I got confused as hell at parts... but am I the only one who thinks it was too short?

Drax - March 19, 2006 05:44 PM (GMT)
Yes, I think it was too.

I was told I would be disappointed on this episode by someone who will remain nameless, but the thing is... I liked most of it.

BlueLoneWolf - March 19, 2006 05:47 PM (GMT)
Feh...the ending was only a movie set-up prompt, and worked well for an introduction, I suppose.
Oh, well. Wonder what's going back into the time bracket there? Or are they running it over again?

Mr. G - March 19, 2006 05:52 PM (GMT)
I hope so. I started watching at the episode where Ed took out Greed.

Easy-Phil - March 19, 2006 06:01 PM (GMT)
Not actually sure if I should link you to it but I found this site with all the episodes of FMA and the movie which you can see for free, it uses "you tube" as a host for all the stuff on there, it's just easier to find stuff on there than it is on you tube.
The movie does actually kind of wrap things up from where the series left off quite nicely. It follows both the exploits of Al (who's now a state alchemist) and Ed (who's in Germany 1923) but I'm not giving anything else away :P

Mr. G - March 19, 2006 06:03 PM (GMT)
And there's Hitler, too!

BlueLoneWolf - March 19, 2006 06:09 PM (GMT)
Galye, you can relax, they're starting the series again next Saturday, at least according to the schedule.

Kirbopher15 - March 19, 2006 06:20 PM (GMT)
Loved it. The whole cast was awesome on this one, and Travis Willingham (Roy Mustang), Wendy Powell (Envy) and Vic Mignogna (Edward Elric) specifically did a phenominal job. Definetely looking forward to the movie. FUNimation's already licensed it, and the DVD will be coming out around the same time as the last volume of the series. It may even have a theatrical release :3

Not sure about a second movie, but there ARE some new OVAs announced.

MegamanEXE2005 - March 19, 2006 06:37 PM (GMT)
The last episode was freaking awesome. It had some of the BEST voice acting I've heard in my life. EVER! I also found it cool how it set itself up for the movie. I cannot wait to see the movie dubbed, as I've already seen it subbed.

If it goes to theaters I will be shocked and amazed.

Legs_Not_Allowed - March 19, 2006 07:06 PM (GMT)
To tell the truth, I did not enjoy this episode that much. I think the problem was that they were stuck in trying to wrap up all of the plot devices to be ready for the movie, or whatever. Some of the fight scenes were fantastic, but Roy's seemed too much unlike a fight.

It's great that they finally let Havoc do something... but the whole thing with the baby didn't make a satisfactory amount of sense to me.

Only regrets one has after seeing the final episode for the billionth time is the lack of explanation of what happened to Gluttony and Dante in the elevator, though it's -suggested- that they eliminated each other due to the strange trail of fluid near the hole where Gluttony ate through the floor.

Digitalpotato - March 19, 2006 09:33 PM (GMT)
Doesn't Gluttony appear in the movie? If so then that would suggest that he either ate Dante or that Dante got away and died because her body was decaying rapidly.

Urutapu - March 19, 2006 09:35 PM (GMT)
Dante never shows up in movie, so make assumptions. o 3o

Mr. G - March 19, 2006 10:06 PM (GMT)
AS kinda gave a little sendoff to it with the second disclamer.

Kojjiro - March 19, 2006 10:17 PM (GMT)
Is Edward still alive?

Urutapu - March 19, 2006 10:22 PM (GMT)
...Yes. Did you bother watching the epsiode? >>

Kojjiro - March 19, 2006 10:32 PM (GMT)
I was posting at the commercial. I have it on DVR.
So, Who can't wait to pirate Conquerer of Shamballa

Smerph Greenfox - March 19, 2006 11:08 PM (GMT)
Read the manga.

About halfway through the anime, it branches off from the manga.

As for the movie, was I the only one who didn't like the ending?

Lita Maxwell - March 20, 2006 03:16 AM (GMT)
Loved the final episode! I can't wait for the movie to come out. When it does, I hope it comes straight to DVD, face it, the theater industry is sucking badly so why bother paying ten bucks to see it once while pay 30 bucks to OWN it?

It's my opinion anyway.

NeoTH - March 21, 2006 01:28 AM (GMT)
I loved the last two episodes. They really f.ucked with my head, I kinda liked that, it made me think.

THANK YOU.

The movie disgusted me. "Yeah, Al, let's stay here! It's exactly the same!

"Except without the girl I love and my life's only passion! :DDDD"

Master Shake - March 21, 2006 05:36 AM (GMT)
Urutapu, that's some real spoiler-type shit there. You should really find a way to conceal it.

Yes, let's not ruin it for the others who DIDNT see it.

Wraith - March 21, 2006 10:26 AM (GMT)
The final episode of FMA seems to have a scene missing, namely Al vanishing after bringing Ed back. I could have sworn that I saw that in those commericials. But overall, aside from feeling a bit rushed, a good climax to a great series. But could be better I suppose.
