Mm, it would seem that Bug has agreed with me little idea of giving the FOS comic it's own forum. I gave him a few standards we should all follow that I won't mind repeating here for the sake of saving this section from the ruin that was the original FOS Comic thread...
1. KEEP THE SPAMMING TO A MINIMUM. Personally, I'd rather not see any of it. That's what killed the first thread.
2. All authors may make only ONE thread. Any other threads belonging to the same person will be deleted.
3. In said thread, you may do the usual postage of comics and what not. I ask that, in your first post, you post the usual introduction, but also, a link to your sprite sheet (if you have one) and quick links to your comics. If you make a new comic. Post it for all to see, of course, but also add it to your first post. This way, people wo't have to wade through ten pages to see you latest works.
ADDED AS OF 3/19/04
4. For the Thread title, put your user name only. Any little quips will go in the thread subtitle. I believe this'll make finding Authors much easier. If this rule is not followed, I'll simply change the title for you myself.
ADDED AS OF 3/19/04, 10:44 PM
5. When you post a comic, TEXT LINK ONLY. Putting image after image kills the Fallout Shelter itself, or so I've heard.
ADDED AS OF 5/1/04, 7:04 PM
6. If your post is the last one made on your thread and you need to let everyone know you made a comic, then you may double post if need be. Just as long as you're not the only one posting in your thread for the past three weeks or something.
7. Do not post/double post to 'bump' your thread. Try to AT LEAST have something to back up the post.
8. Make the comics like you'd make a post here at the Fallout Shelter, i.e. no excessive swearing, porno, etc.
ADDED AS OF 5/7/04, 8:28 PM
9. Don't ask to be put in comics. If the author of a thread want's to put you in, they'll do so when THEY feel like it. Plus, it's annoying.
ADDED AS OF 10/31/04, 11:59 PM
10. If you're new to the comics, when you make a thread, at least have ONE comic for us to start with.
ADDED AS OF 1/1/05, 1:11 AM THANKS TO MIKE RAGNAL
11. If you start a comic thread, your first few comics (around five would be nice) MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH TFS OR INCLUDE FALLOUT SHELTER MEMBERS. I don't care if they WILL have them in later comics. If they don't have them in the first few comics you make, your thread's getting moved to a proper place.
ADDED AS OF 7/8/05, 2:36 AM THANKS TO CREEPY
12. (Or 9 1/2) Saying "Feel free to use me in comics! :D" or anything of the sort is no different that asking to be put in comics. Nor is making comics directed to a certain author in hopes that s/he will put you in their comics in response/retaliation.
...that last part wasn't a Creepy idea, I just remembered the whole Edgehog episode with EggSapphire.
Regardless, it's STILL annoying. Don't do it.
I believe that's all she wrote...for now, as always. Any new rules will be added once thought of.
