Title: End of Blair?

Ok as you see Blair lost, not much but that's not the important thing. The important thing is his OWN government rebelling against him (49 as stated in referance). Could this mean that Blair would no longer be able to put down reforms? Place your opinions here.

(As it says in referance, Commons did a compromise so it was extended to 28 days instead of 14 days, but considering it supposed to be 90 it still a big defeat. Also i found America's detention time of terrorist suspects is indefinate.)

It's a triumph of democracy. Finally Blair is getting the message that he can't just do whatever the hell he likes, which can only be a good thing.

About time the democratic process got a revival.

Indeed. Though his arguement "let us bang people up for no reason for 90 days or the terrorists will eat your babies!" wasn't exactly convincing in the first place.

Meh, i'm feeling the same way about Bush over here.

which is a shock , considering my stance as little as a year ago.

FINALLY Blair gets a proverbial kick in the gonads, now if someone will ACTUALLY do that then I think he might get the message n_n
