Well... I've read the first volume of the manga. It was weird. The sound effects were in Japanese which confused me.

yea. it was good on the whole, but the jap effects were a pain in the ass.

We didn't have Wolfwood or Knives either and they were the characters I was looking forward to. Though that's not really a good reason.

Knives and Wolfwood appear in volume two.

Wolfwood imediately reapears in Trigun maximum vol. 1 as a now permanant character. Knives shows up again in Maximum volume two, I think. or it might be three.

Then he's like a very present villain by volume three, officially in his usual outfit and actually planning things out and being all villainy.

I think there might be some Trigun in my local book shop. I'll look next chance I've got.

*Spoilers below*

Only Brilliant Dynamites Neon's "honor" saved Vash's life in the episode where he fought him. Vash challenged him to a fight even though he was wounded, in the fight Vash wounded Neon, but Vash was the one to collapse because he reopened the wound. Neon was told to finish him off, but Neon wouldnt do it because he had his honor and Vash technicly won the showdown. He got his butt kicked there, even if it was his fault.

Then there were all those times he fought with Knives as a kid. Knives beat the snot out of him, twice.

Also, Vash didn't even take on Legato in town square, because he knew he couldnt win.

Also also, his ulyimate defeat came when Legato took control of an entire towns worth of people, sent Midvalley on a suicide mission after Vash, almost killed Meryl and Millie, and forced Vash to kill him(Legato). He died(killed by Vash) just to make him suffer, knowing that that would haunt him and hurt him. Vash may have saved everyone by giving in, but he lost.

Er, and technicly that assasin in one opf the early episodes won. He succeeded in blowing Vash -via a bomb, right out of his third story bedroom and onto the street. just because Vash survived doesnt mean that was a success.

the fuzzy one tells me that there is no boobage in this anime. i don't like it.

don't get me wrong i havn't really watched/read it so i wouldn't know what it is like, but i like boobage y'see.
