Anand Khatri - March 5, 2005 01:20 AM (GMT)
Thiss movie looks awesome. the books were great and judging by the trailer this movie stays true to its comic book roots. Oh and Jessica Alba looks :curse:ing hot.

Anybody else gonna see this?

Naz - March 5, 2005 09:41 PM (GMT)
what's the comic series about?

Abbatoir - March 5, 2005 09:49 PM (GMT)
Gangsters.
It's pretty long. I haven't read it. I can't afford it.
Frank Miller rules though. Dark Knight is genius.
"I want you to remember the one man who beat you."

Naz - March 5, 2005 09:55 PM (GMT)
Oh, right. so, u know nothing then.

Abbatoir - March 5, 2005 10:01 PM (GMT)
Well, I know bits.

Naz - March 5, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
okay, fairo.

Abbatoir - March 5, 2005 10:15 PM (GMT)
It's mostly in black and white. There are people with colour such as That Yellow Bastard (that's actually his name) but it will be mostly in black and white.
Which I like because I love black and white films.

what's the comic series about?

Well there are like 4 or 5 seperate series. But these are the ones that are being put in the movie.

"Sin City" is about a guy named Marv (played by Micky Rourke) who is framed for the murder of this hooker or madame or stripper (I forget which) he loved by the cops and others he doesn't know about. Its his search for the killer.

"Sin City:That Yellow Bastard" is about a cop named Hartigan (played by Bruce Willis) who goes to the aid of this stripper (played by Jessica Alba) , who he rescued years ago when she was kidnapped who's now being stalked or something by That Yellow Bastard (played by Nick Stahl).

"Sin City: The Big Fat Kill" is about this guy named Dwight (played by Clive Owen) who takes notice and starts to track this psycho (played by Benecio Del Toro) who has gone on a killing spree and is now killing the prostitutes (played by Rosario Dawson and Alexis Bledel) of Sin City.

All in all these are the important three, and even if you don't like comic books, these are great books to read.

I mean to read it but can't afford it.

I only recently read V for Vendetta a few months ago, a comic I'd been meaning to read for years.

Abbatoir - March 7, 2005 05:58 PM (GMT)
We like Bruce Willis. We like Gangsters.

Anand Khatri - March 8, 2005 02:05 AM (GMT)
Bruce Willis is the man.

Naz - March 21, 2005 10:31 AM (GMT)

Abbatoir - March 21, 2005 12:42 PM (GMT)

Naz - March 23, 2005 08:30 AM (GMT)

Abbatoir - March 25, 2005 10:17 AM (GMT)
I have rope but I lost it.

Wow. I've read the Hard Goodbye. I've seen the trailer. I must see this film. It's going to be worth it for Elijah Wood's character.
However with him in mind, the movie is going to be very gory and disturbing.

Anand Khatri - April 24, 2005 05:06 PM (GMT)
Gory indeed. Did you see it yet Abbs? If you did then you knwo how messed up it looked like when that thing happened to Elijah Wood and Nick Stahl. Oh and the Mom from Spy Kids had great tits.

Abbatoir - April 24, 2005 05:17 PM (GMT)
Haven't seen it. Not out here.
I'm very worried because I've just read That Yellow Bastard.
How far does the censorship go? I'm pretty certain Junior keeps his shorts on. Do we see Bruce Willis tear it off? That should be pretty nasty...
More importantly, does Jessica Alba perform a FULL strip?

Junior thankfully keeps his shorts on, but Bruck Willis does rip off his dick. They sorta show it...which is disturbing.

And no Jessica Alba is never nude in the *funny movie! Thats what pissed me off! I had no problem with the movie except that she doesnt get naked! Dammit...

Still a great movie though and some tits.

The "He made me watch" scene is going to chill me to the bone. I almost threw up and Fuzzy will know that I was in a very auquid place to throw up.

No nude Jessica Alba is frustrating. She's a frickin' stripper for Christ's sake!

Hey ho. How's the Marv segment?
Tell me nothing about The Big Fat Kill. I'll probably read that on Tuesday.

The 'He made me watch' scene scared the fuck out of me. They way she screamed was...bone-chilling. It was as though she screamed from the depth of her soul. Scared me shitless.

The Marv segment was great! It was fun, violent and funny at the same time.

Abbatoir - April 25, 2005 12:13 PM (GMT)
What about That Yellow Bastard?
And what was that needle about? I've seen pictures in the Art Section but didn't see any injecting...
