It is also about the human race bieng controlled by machines, place in a prison for your mind, 100% realistic virual world (The matrix).

The story line is also about the human race defending our home, our last city (Zion) ,200,500 machines are peparing to invade and destroy Zion so NEO, MORPHEUS,TRINITY,NIOBE,GHOST,LINK,SPARKS and co are racing against time to save ZION while smith is taking over the matrix by turning himself into virus and
copying himself intil every one is smith in THE MATRIX and NEO has to stop him!

It's awsome...but I hate the ending to the Trilogy.....

The ending made no sense at all to me

i was really dissapointed with the ending too.
Zanders, after a lot of studying the end i think i get it.
the machines say theyll end the war if neo beats smith (which is stupid) after a crappy fight the previously absorbed oricle blows smith up. the end. no good fight, no gory death scene, not even a shot of the machines showing peace.
worst ending ever.

Yeah, but did you also catch the insinuation that Neo keeps coming back over and over again trying to get everybody out of the Matrix but each time he fails and then after Zion is destroyed and the humans are trying to rebuild he comes back as a new person and trys again. My head is still spinning actually...I'm still trying to get the time lines to make sense....


I thought the final battle with Smith was awsome and one of my favorite fight scenes by far. Now if only we had an ending that accomplished something.

I agree to it was the worst most wierdst ending ever, after a century of
war neo says i havre had enough of this fighting, the machine makes peace and helps destroy smith, that is so out of order, smith is destroyed, sentinals leave zion, thats even worse, the watchouski brothers should of changed the ending and could of made even better, istead of choosing the wierd ending,
what ideas do you all have for a better ending!

i think a good ending would have been if Neo did like he did in that big shooting scene in the first Matrix and take all the machines out in a similar fashion. fantastic!

The matrix is awesome! But wierd. I actually liked the sequels more than the first films.
