wolverine is one of the best Xmen around and we know he is. i mean, how many people can carry a heavy metal skeleton around 4 bones(give him an OBE like becks)
Abbatoir - June 30, 2003 07:43 PM (GMT)
He doesn't carry it. It's bonded to him so he carries it like you would your own skeleton. BTW, Wolverine is overused and also happens to be Deus Ex Machina. Read Uncanny X-Men #398. Fuzzy has but I doubt he'll remember.
Naz - July 1, 2003 03:53 PM (GMT)
techincally it is inside him and you carry it around, like fat people carry their fat carrying, only heavier. it is also mentioned in the xmen series and game as he is refered 2 in the weapon x saga
ferret - July 5, 2003 04:53 PM (GMT)
#398, wasn't that the last part of poptopia??? What about it?
Wolvie's skeleton's gratfed onto his bones isn't it??? That's what I always thought!
hey, is it me,, or am I the only girl on this board? Oh well  ....
fuzzy dice - July 5, 2003 06:32 PM (GMT)
 err. remember what Abbs?
Abbatoir - July 5, 2003 09:22 PM (GMT)
It was the last ish of Poptopia. Well the evil genetic cleanser, Mr Clean beat a few X-Men and so they sent Wolverine against him. Iceman made a wall of ice (natch) and Wolverine beat him with moderate ease.
Naz - July 5, 2003 09:53 PM (GMT)
please give me a defintion of moderate cos in my experience, he has been made out 2 fight epic battles coming oput with a lost eye or limb or summat!
Abbatoir - July 5, 2003 10:00 PM (GMT)
He was set on fire. He still beat Mr Clean easily.
Nightie77 - July 7, 2003 12:17 AM (GMT)
Nightcrawler is the best!(maybe some of you get my name now :P )
he is just so cool and he has cool powers and stuff!
he is just way better than wolverine!

Abbatoir - January 14, 2004 11:46 PM (GMT)
Phoenix is dead (again) and Sinister is back in Weapon X.
Discuss!
ferret - January 14, 2004 11:47 PM (GMT)
Jean Gey had better actually be dead this time or it's gonna get BORING.
Abbatoir - January 14, 2004 11:50 PM (GMT)
Exactly. I'm still waiting for someone to kill Wolverine...
ferret - January 14, 2004 11:50 PM (GMT)
He WAS dead! For about 23 mins!! He had that dream thing and saw Colossus!
Abbatoir - January 14, 2004 11:54 PM (GMT)
When was this? It wasn't the Skrull, sadly... I would have prefered it for the Skrull was left as Wolverine i.e. DEAD.
ferret - January 14, 2004 11:55 PM (GMT)
It was ages ago in Wolverine...issue 176 or something.....he was dead, killed by Sabertooth....loooong story, over several issues.....
Abbatoir - January 14, 2004 11:57 PM (GMT)
One of those, right. I'm coming up to that in the Wolverine and Gambit UK reprint things so I'll read that in a few months...
ferret - January 15, 2004 12:00 AM (GMT)
Cool it was a pretty good storyline....
fuzzy dice - January 23, 2004 10:52 PM (GMT)
i read somthing about finishing wolverine once and for all.
it was called wolvering the end or something, and they were gonna do it right after they did that one about his past when he was littel.
ferret - January 23, 2004 11:03 PM (GMT)
Nah Wolverine The End was somethign different.....They did a six issue limited run a bit ago about how the Marvel universe would end and did a focus on Wolverine or something......basically, I got the first issue of The End (general universe) and didn't get the rest.... Maybe because they got rid of the X-men on something daft like page six......
Abbatoir - January 24, 2004 06:01 PM (GMT)
There's Wolverine: the End. #1 was released a month or so ago. I haven't read any of it though.
Well, Magneto's dead again. Hopefully he will stay dead to spite Fuzzy...
He's got to stay dead. Wolverine beheaded him.
ferret - January 24, 2004 06:35 PM (GMT)
You'd think Magneto would get the hint by now.....same goes for Jean bloody Grey!
Abbatoir - January 25, 2004 01:50 PM (GMT)
Exactly. Decapitation is the only surefire way to kill Wolverine, so hopefully Magneto will be gone.
Have you been reading Runaways? Now that's a brilliant comic.
CutMan - January 26, 2004 07:11 AM (GMT)
Aw heck...one of my faves is wolvy and you all want him dead.
I havent read X-Men in ages....
fuzzy dice - January 26, 2004 09:43 AM (GMT)
i love the run aways, but abbs the stingy git won't let me borrow them any more. *plots*
Abbatoir - January 26, 2004 06:42 PM (GMT)
Wolverine is overused. There are plenty of good stories though. Origin, Deathstalk, the Best There Is and the Japan Adventure are all brilliant.
Also Wolverine #88, in which Wolvie gets his ass handed to him by Deadpool. :D
fuzzy dice - January 26, 2004 07:01 PM (GMT)
ferret - January 26, 2004 08:40 PM (GMT)
Wolvie is a tad overused.....very overused....*wonders where her Wolverine shirt went...
Nightcrawler, now he's good!! Fuzzy, fuzzy elf....
I can't stand Husk though. Stacy X was cooler, they shoulda gotten rid of Husk and keot Stacy as a character that wanders in every now and then....Erm, I used to like Warren, but he's an arse, keeping Magik's SoulSword like that the rat!!
Abbatoir - January 27, 2004 12:37 PM (GMT)
Exactly. It hasn't actually had a function yet, other than to cut off Nightcrawler's melted hand. It hasn't repelled cosmic blasts or anything!
ferret - January 27, 2004 07:05 PM (GMT)
Yup.
Maybe it's becuase Warre hasn't the experience to use it...such as several years in Limbo, training in magical arts......need I say more?
Abbatoir - January 27, 2004 09:40 PM (GMT)
Good point. Also it's part of Illyana's soul. She materialised a new one but still...
Also I thought that the Uncanny/Exiles crossover took place in an alternate reality Uncanny.
Now I find that because of Mr Warren Worthington, it was not...
Very confusing...
ferret - January 27, 2004 09:55 PM (GMT)
Nah, I realised what was happening!!
I like Illyana (oh, what a suprise...). The Exiles all sorta snit at her, but if it wasn't for her, they'd all still be world's behind, i that place where she killed..er, Avengers? I remmeber it was Iron Fist, Colossus, the Scorpion...ya know what I mean even if I don't really at the mo!!
Basically, Illyana's a realist, if a bit bloodthirsty.
I think the writers of Uncanny are just trying to draw away attention from Warren and Paige's relationship by giving Warran a shiny, shiny sword. I mena, the amount of jokes about the pair....all involving underage gags.
Abbatoir - January 27, 2004 10:02 PM (GMT)
Yep, there was a recent X-Sprites featuring two cops and Warren saying "Come on! She's eighteen!"
It seems that they've broken up now anyway...
As for Illyana in Exiles, I collect Exiles in TPBs so I've only read up to the Uncanny crossover BUT that Avengers sequence was great. She kills Black Widow, Scorpion, Colossus, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and the Black Knight in one go! It was fantastic.
Also her argument with Mimic was good. "You killed them!" "They were dead already!"
ferret - January 27, 2004 10:06 PM (GMT)
Nah, she dosen't kill big C or Iorn Fist I think...they sorta kill each other or something.....pretty spectaular victory on her part anyway!
Yup, arguments always good....and it was very true, as they shoulda died anyway! If they take her out and replace her with a crappy candyfloss character, I'm dropping the book off my list!
Abbatoir - January 27, 2004 10:09 PM (GMT)
Well, yeah. But I meant that she effectively kills them when Colossus starts crushing heads...
They've killed Sunfire and brought back Blink. It's very confusing since I haven't read that one yet...
ferret - January 27, 2004 10:11 PM (GMT)
Oh, I haven't bought up to there yet..........Ya have to remember Blink comes from the Age of Apocalypse, a disaster waiting to happen, but it was a damn fine storyline! Heck, I loved it so much I even wrote my X-character into it....
Abbatoir - January 27, 2004 10:13 PM (GMT)
I love it too but the UK reprint things didn't print X-Calibre, featuring Nightcrawler and Deadpool...
ferret - January 27, 2004 10:16 PM (GMT)
Got those issues. Vrey cool. Deadpool...dies. It was very funny......
