Title: Spider-Man general discussion
Abbatoir - June 26, 2003 01:27 PM (GMT)
What's up in the world of the Webhead?
CutMan - June 27, 2003 09:46 PM (GMT)
I lost track a couple months ago...pity..
*needs to get to a comics shop*
ferret - June 29, 2003 08:23 PM (GMT)
Well, I have the horrible notion that I'm gonna have to dress as Spidey for my nephew's eight birthday. Problem: I'm five foot nothin', I'm definitly female, and I'll have t make a costume in a space of two weeks.
It really sucks when you're the only actress/writer/freak in the family.
Any help would be appreciated especially if you live in the midlands and are willing to dress as Venom and fight me.

fuzzy dice - June 30, 2003 08:08 AM (GMT)
well actualy i do live in the midlands.
you have my sypathy. errr... how are you gonna make a costume?
surly you can't 'act, write, be a freak' and know how to make spiderman suits?
Naz - June 30, 2003 06:11 PM (GMT)
quick question... WHY! i like spidey too, hes one of the best, but im not going around in the same tights as him! if it floats your boat,i suppose!
ferret - July 9, 2003 08:43 PM (GMT)
Panic over. I don't have to do it! Which is a relife, considering I am useless at textlies - in one class i broke three machines! it didn't top the effort of the lad who got his tie caught in the overlocker machine!!
I haven't bought a spidy comic for ages...anything I've missed?
Abbatoir - July 10, 2003 07:30 PM (GMT)
Yep. Never read any of it but seen a few panels. Peter Porker!
ferret - July 10, 2003 08:29 PM (GMT)
If anyone is remotly interseted I got out of my predicament by actually getting iterested in it and saying how I'd jump off the shed roof!! My sis promptly said she no longer required me to dress as Spider-man. Girl. Oddball.
Fuzzy, where abouts in the midlands??? Don't worry, I won't stalk you!
Abbatoir - July 10, 2003 08:33 PM (GMT)
ferret - July 10, 2003 08:41 PM (GMT)
The delightful city of Birmingham. <_<
We have two comic book shops, a second hand comic/bookshop and a lotta ignorant people who think it's funny to poke fun at my Yoda bag.
Abbatoir - July 10, 2003 08:45 PM (GMT)
Yoda bag??? Yeah, I go to Birmingham every now and then. I've got this nasty disease that I won't go into detail about so every now and then, I have to go to the specialist hospital for checkups. If I can, I'll try to go to Forbidden Planet. Nice place but not as good as some others.
ferret - July 10, 2003 08:51 PM (GMT)
I live there! It's nearer than Nostalgia and Comics, which while bigger and slightly cheaper, is run by evil people who don't talk to you!
My Yoda bag is modled off the bit in Empire Strikes Back, when Luke is carrying Yoda about in that baby sack! So you've probably seen me and never realised it!!
My friend loves Spider-man and got annoyed when i said I prefered the Daredevil movie to the Spidey one. I am entitled to my own opinion, even if it involves dissing the webhead.
Abbatoir - July 10, 2003 08:56 PM (GMT)
Possibly. I was in on Monday. Around 1ish. Not in there for long.
Naz - July 13, 2003 12:06 PM (GMT)
right, i would like 2 take this time 2 add more rules(none of which have yet been broken):
1) abbs and anyone else, do not mention ur sick and disgusting dieases and medicals please. they sicken me.
and thats it. anyhow who is gonna see spidey 2 and what do u reckon it'll b about?
Abbatoir - July 13, 2003 04:24 PM (GMT)
It's about Doctor Octopus and the Lizard. It also seems likely that Harry Osborn will try to take revenge on Spider-Man. I'd like to see an appearance by Gwen Stacy myself.
Naz - July 14, 2003 07:45 AM (GMT)
whoo hoo! go doc oc! he du man. harry osborne is a wuss. please not him for all that is good and holy!
ferret - July 17, 2003 04:41 PM (GMT)
Spidey 2?? I thought that wasn't ot for a year or so!
Naz - July 19, 2003 11:01 AM (GMT)
it isnt. but we r eagerly anticipating it(whoa, that took a while to spell right!) it is gonna b great, it has my fav. actress in it (Kirsten Dunst)
*begins 2 go into fantasy mode!) anyway, she's supposed 2 get married or summat(must kill them)!
fuzzy dice - August 21, 2003 07:55 PM (GMT)
anyway, doc oc could kik the green goblins ass!
Abbs and me have been argueing for 3 years about who is better. the green gob, or doc oc. oh that is sooo my next war!!!
ferret - August 24, 2003 12:26 PM (GMT)
fuzzy dice - August 29, 2003 12:47 PM (GMT)

Chris - January 6, 2004 03:11 PM (GMT)
i cant believe that all you people are into comics, no offence but i think you need to grow up, ROCK ON! the only reason porno is on at 9pm is cus of u lot...(lloydie)
Naz - January 6, 2004 04:21 PM (GMT)

ferret - January 6, 2004 06:04 PM (GMT)
And that comics carry ratings. Not that I read the mature rated comics.............
.......much.
fuzzy dice - January 7, 2004 10:02 AM (GMT)
Abbatoir - January 7, 2004 05:38 PM (GMT)
The only mature comics I've read are Sandman, the Invisibles, the Dreaming and Alan Moore's various creations.
Soon I'll read Preacher.:D
Maybe Shang Chi...
Also, let's kill Chris...
ferret - January 7, 2004 07:23 PM (GMT)
Read Preacher, you'd probably like it!!
I have issues with people called Chris, especially if they're ginger haired.....I had bad experiences.......
Abbatoir - January 8, 2004 06:46 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I've read the first few pages via the website. It's pretty good but my parents won't let me have it until I pay my debts.
CutMan - January 26, 2004 07:17 AM (GMT)
I used to go into debt alot but I refuse to do so anymore....it just gets messy.
The new Venom comic is too weird for me I'm afraid...cool story...really freaky art.
fuzzy dice - January 26, 2004 09:42 AM (GMT)
bah, i hate bad art. if it has bad art, i refuse to read it.
just ask Abbs if you don't belive me!
Abbatoir - January 26, 2004 06:40 PM (GMT)
He thought Sláine had bad art! It rules!
Haven't read the new Venom. Out of Tsunami, I'm reading Runaways, Mystique and Namor.
fuzzy dice - January 26, 2004 07:04 PM (GMT)
ah, quit rubbing it in.
you owe me. i spit chips in Adreans face for nothing?? huh! huh!
ferret - January 26, 2004 08:37 PM (GMT)
Fuzzy, why don't you buy them yourself? I mena, my mate used to give me money to buy the comics she wanted because she was too lazy to gte them herself. We stopped with that because I hardly see her now, she's hardly a mate as she keeps on cancelling on me every bloody week and I hardly have time to go to the comic shop at weekends.....flamin dress will be the death of me...I'm deterimed to make it though.....
fuzzy dice - February 25, 2004 10:15 AM (GMT)
i'm a surviver..lalala....

Could you show me an image from this "Slaine"
I like to analyze art.
Abbatoir - April 11, 2004 10:15 AM (GMT)
Note: Sláine is a Celtic warrior king.
1 Sláine with his axe, Brainbiter.
2 Evil Lord Odacon and his Golamh Gael.
3 Sláine charging into battle.
4 Sláine with an Atlantean firestaff.

fuzzy dice - April 11, 2004 06:35 PM (GMT)
that is lousy!
and chibby v agrees!
Abbatoir - April 11, 2004 06:45 PM (GMT)
What about the one with the Firestaff? They're brilliant, God damn you!
CutMan - April 12, 2004 02:23 AM (GMT)
It's good art....but it's not my thing.
I might change my mind if the story is good though. :dunno:
ferret - April 12, 2004 09:00 AM (GMT)
Fuzzy, what the hell is wrong with that art????!!!!
*Bows down to purdy fire........
