Title: Nintendo DS
Description: MORE INFO FROM E3!!!! GOOD NEWS!!!!
SuicuneSol - January 23, 2004 12:30 AM (GMT)
This may or may not be related to GS, but there is an article on the Nintendo site about a new handheld gaming system being released this year. Go ahead and read it.
I have come up with a new theory: Golden Sun 3 will be released on that system.

SuicuneSol - January 23, 2004 02:54 PM (GMT)
Err did you go to Nintendo.com to read the article?....or shall I summerize it for you?
Marlin ßeta - January 23, 2004 05:12 PM (GMT)
Hmmm. I'm not sure I'm liking this. It sounds like the DS isn't going to be backwards compatible with GBA software. That's a little unappealing. However, the concept of playing a video game in two modes is very innovative, I must say.
Silver Chaos Adept - January 26, 2004 12:53 PM (GMT)
Yes. You can always rely on Nintendo to be innovative, if nothing else. :!: Still, this sounds kinda promising......
Jaken Veina - January 26, 2004 03:15 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I'm just not seeing it. Where exactly IS the article?
Marlin ßeta - January 26, 2004 06:30 PM (GMT)
All right. Just go to this link:
http://www.nintendo.com/newsarticle?articl...6931&page=otherIt'll take you right there. <_< B)
Jaken Veina - January 26, 2004 06:41 PM (GMT)
Now, THAT sounds cool. Thanks Marlin. I wouldn't get my hopes up about Golden Sun 3 though. If there even is one, there's not going to be a password system like there was between the first two. The code thingine that you use to get your password from Golden Sun doesn't work on the lost Age. But even so, if the new one does come out and it is for the DS, it's still going to be awesome.
Silver Chaos Adept - January 26, 2004 07:32 PM (GMT)
LOL, maybe it's a link up. Or maybe another password trigger.
Jaken Veina - January 26, 2004 07:40 PM (GMT)
That's what i was thinking, but they DID use the exact same codes for letting you name the other characters in the game. After that you'd think they would use the same password thingie too.
SuicuneSol - January 26, 2004 11:20 PM (GMT)
I think there's more to this duel screen system then we think. We will just have to wait and see what information comes out.
Max - January 27, 2004 02:46 AM (GMT)
That news is somewhat disappointing actually. I do not wish to buy another handheld device as I am fine with the GBA as it is. And if Marlin's fear that it won't be backwards compatible is correct, then that means I won't be able to enjoy the new games on my GBA. Also, I think it's cruel to release it so soon after releasing that new modified GBA that came out last year.
Silver Chaos Adept - January 27, 2004 08:39 AM (GMT)
Max has a point here. I don't think I would want it, even if I could afford it.
Jaken Veina - January 27, 2004 03:24 PM (GMT)
Well, knowing Nintendo, it's till gonna be a while. I mean look at the Game Cube. They announced it as about two years before it ever came out. Back then it was known as Dolphin.
Marlin ßeta - January 27, 2004 04:18 PM (GMT)
Hmmm. I realize your concerns. :...: But they are not my concerns. Nintendo has always come through, and I have faith in them to do things right.
Silver Chaos Adept - January 27, 2004 04:25 PM (GMT)
True. I remember reading an interview with Mr Myamoto, and he said one of the things he wanted to do was to let people rethink gaming to make it more fun for them. He said there's no point fighting to be at the top of a shrinking industry. Wise words, methinks.
Marlin ßeta - January 27, 2004 05:03 PM (GMT)
Shrinking industry? Silver, video gaming is one of the fastest growing industries in the world right now! What are you thinking. :?:
Jaken Veina - January 27, 2004 06:23 PM (GMT)
Anyone who thinks that Gaming is a shrinking industry needs to go to a shrink. (except for Mr. Miyamoto that is)
SuicuneSol - January 27, 2004 09:29 PM (GMT)
I hope Mr. Miyamoto hasn't lost faith in his company. I think at the moment right now, GC isn't doing that well.
Do you have any idea what I heard yesterday? A group of people in my school said that the GC is a disgrace to Video Gaming. I, of course, am against this completely.
Silver Chaos Adept - January 28, 2004 11:22 AM (GMT)
LOL. Have they played Mario Kart? Or any Zelda games? Or F-Zero GX? Or indeed any decent games at all? I think Mr Miyamoto means something else. I'll have to reread it. It's quite an old interview.
Marlin ßeta - January 28, 2004 12:29 PM (GMT)
Nintendo Forever!!! Yeah. GameCube is awesome. :}
Silver Chaos Adept - January 28, 2004 12:38 PM (GMT)

Marlin ßeta - January 28, 2004 01:03 PM (GMT)
SuicuneSol - January 28, 2004 02:32 PM (GMT)
Yeah they have. But they still say its terrible.
Marlin ßeta - January 28, 2004 07:35 PM (GMT)
Yeah. That pretty much sums things up. Well, not all of them at least.
Jaken Veina - January 28, 2004 10:15 PM (GMT)
Hey, I'll pay you $100 to kick their....things that they sit on.
Marlin ßeta - January 29, 2004 03:03 AM (GMT)
Are you going to wire it to me or something? :}
Silver Chaos Adept - January 29, 2004 04:22 PM (GMT)
Consider it virtual cash. I bet that in the future, humans will morph into pixels in cyberspace and use virtual cash. ;)

Marlin ßeta - January 30, 2004 02:00 AM (GMT)

SuicuneSol - January 30, 2004 05:44 AM (GMT)

Marlin ßeta - January 31, 2004 02:49 PM (GMT)

Marlin ßeta - January 31, 2004 11:39 PM (GMT)

Silver Chaos Adept - February 1, 2004 03:47 PM (GMT)
Aw. I am alone. I don't think Americans are crazy. I think I'm crazy though.
