because it still does the best damage.

why is there so many polls here when anybody have different feeling about swords?

i go with the sold blade because when you use the unleash the sol blade always will do the most damage it can but excalibur it doesn't always use the best one which is the only one that can top the sol blade.

You get it in mars lighthouse, on the floor with all the pillars, and the chest on one of the pillars.

There is a lot of ice, you have to plan your hop across. After you open the chest, the only way back is down. By the way, Sol Blade ROCKS! XD

Yeah. It's quite good. But I prefer the excalibur over the sol blade.

It's always the Sol Blade Vs. Excalibur. And I've never seen the Excalibur outdo the Sol Blade. And the Sol Blade has higher attack points. How can someone like the Excalibur more?

i think it's because the excalibur is better known for being strongest

The battle begins now. Maybe because the excalibur my have somthing about it like the look or somthin or as isaac said he just prefers it.

even though the sol blade is brill how come only isaac or felix can use it.i think garet would be good with it.

well, right there you have one huge disadvantage to the sol blade: only 2 guys can use it, so excalibur can be used by more characters. what disappointed me about excalibur tho was the fact that they made it a wind sword, but no wind adept could use it :( . now ivan is stuck wiht the earth-based tisiphone edge(which is still good).

My personal favorte is the cloud brand I think. It might have been a different one, but the one I'm thinking of was left with the Gaia Rock dragon, and it unleashes Raiden's Wrath. I like it because I randomly decided to call it's unleash atttack Kraden's Wrath. Now I'm obsessed.

Sol Blade, definately is the best!

Favorites and best are different. The weapon with the most attack is the Sol Blade. Endo story.

I guess I never really said what my favorite was... I really liked the swift sword. The unleash was so cool...and it actually had an effect other than increasing attack, which was nice.

I'm not sure of a favorite... although now I feel like finding my Golden Sun cartridge again.

As far as power goes, the Sol Blade wins easily. However, each character has different basic strengths. So when equiping weapons and changing classes with djinn, it is possible for the Excalibur to outdo the Sol Blade. I've actually experimented with this. I've never been able to get the Excalibur to outdo the Sol Blade when equipped to the same person with the same base strength.

Of course, the Darksword has a stronger number by 10. However, it's unleash is not as powerful as the Sol Blade or Excalibur.

And Marlin (and all you other fans of excalibur here) you still seem to miss ONE important, actually, make that two, firt off, sol blade unleashes A LOT more than Excalibur, and second off, even when Excalibur does unleash, it might do that crappy unleash instead of the full power one, even if you can get it to do more damage, I bet you 5 turns of attacking with Sol Blade will be way more affective than Excalibur.

True that. What's all this about a full power unleash? It only does that thing where the circle opens in the sky and swords fly down.... right?

Well, the Excalibur has two different unleashes. The weaker one only shoots one blade out of the sky. The stronger version shoots three blades (much less common). The Sol Blade unleashes more often and it is always at full power. So as far as dealing more damage, the Sol Blade is the winner here. :gsgrin:

for as long as weve debated which weapon is better, maybe now we can.....nevermind i just looked at the pole, split doen the middle :dry:

it all depends, you want a more powerful attack, go with excalibur, you want a better specail, go with sol blade, plus the sol blade looks cooler. also i really like using the masamune.

The Excalibur does not have a more powerful attack, I've tested and double tested, I always deal more damage no matter what with the Sol Blade...

try giving the one who is using excalibur a lot of jupiter djinn. I think that makes the unleash tons more powerful.
