Title: Golden Sun 3
Description: What I've heard.
Marlin ßeta - January 4, 2004 03:35 AM (GMT)
I’ve just received my new issue of Nintendo Power and there are currently no plans to release the new Zelda game Navi’s Trackers in the United States.
Silver Chaos Adept - December 28, 2003 07:42 PM (GMT)
I've heard that GS3 has a girl called Laurel for a main charecter, and she's like Isaac's great, great, great (etc) grandkid. And that there are Dark Djinn & Light Djinn. I think the plot is that the Lighthouses have to be unlit, but I dunno. I heard it on a tagboard so it's probably not true. However.
Max - December 28, 2003 09:01 PM (GMT)
Hmm...I'm quite skeptical about that...I have a feeling it will take place after the 8 adepts have kids of their own, let the kids go on the quest...but it wouldn't surprise me if it took place generations later...And I have this hunch that it will have something to do with the moon's power. It could be called something like Golden Sun: Rise of the Silver Moon, and bring forth a new race of Adepts...Silver Adepts...heheh...
Silver Chaos Adept - December 28, 2003 09:45 PM (GMT)
SILVER ADEPTS!!??!! ALRIGHTY!!!! Now that would be cool! SWEET!!! * goes into hyper silver mode* :D
Mist: LOL <_<
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D Now look what you've done! :D :D :D :D :D
Max - December 28, 2003 09:59 PM (GMT)
Heheh I knew saying that would get you all perked up somehow...(probably because your name is Silver Chaos Adept...)
Silver Chaos Adept - December 28, 2003 10:14 PM (GMT)
Is it? I didn't know! ;) But it would be cool. Hehe, an army of me clones... * shudders* Scary....
Max - December 28, 2003 10:29 PM (GMT)
Hmm...I suppose that would be quite frightening...
Marlin ßeta - December 29, 2003 04:39 AM (GMT)
Whoa! I need to stop these rumors right now. Where did you hear this??? I've heard a variation of what you are talking about from a fanfic that is posted at Golden Sun Realm. In fact, I even did several drawings of silver adepts for a buddy of mine so he could have some inspiration for that project. If you give me something more concrete than just a bunch of comments I'll give it more merit, but until then, I'm going to be very suspicious. :ph43r: Rumors are for GS general discussion. Not news.
Silver Chaos Adept - December 29, 2003 09:33 AM (GMT)
Sorry. :( But I think it is possible. Just as long as they don't mess it up like the Wind Waker.
Marlin ßeta - December 29, 2003 05:10 PM (GMT)
WHAT is possible? You're not making sense. And what did you mean mess it up like The Wind Waker?
Max - December 29, 2003 09:55 PM (GMT)
Um...sorry to break it to you dude, but Windwaker really sucked...and also, why not move this thread to somewhere more fitting? It has turned into more of a rumor thread if anything.
Marlin ßeta - December 30, 2003 03:17 AM (GMT)
Hey. Don't piss me off. The Wind Waker rates right up there with Ocarina of Time. Personally, I think it was better than Majora's Mask. :ph43r: Stop badmouthing it without justifying your words.
Max - December 30, 2003 07:12 PM (GMT)
Ok...I hated Windwaker because:
1. Waaaayy too short...it took less than a week to beat it the first time through
2. I thought the graphics sucked...cel-shading is not my thing...why couldn't they keep Ocarina or Majora grahics?
3. I thought the storyline itself wasn't very good...the king of hyrule in the form of a boat, then killing himself to stay with his precious hyrule and his "Oh I'm just like Ganondorf since i'm obsessed darrr...." (i suppose that's not quite quoting him, but you get the idea)
4. Bosses were too easy, didn't offer enough challenge...
5. Many other things that I'm sure aren't appropriate for these forums (trust me on this one)
Marlin ßeta - December 31, 2003 03:58 AM (GMT)
Too short? Did you even try to complete ANY of the side quests? Cel-shading. There’s nothing I can do about that. Most of my buddies around town didn’t like the cel-shaded graphics at first. Then they came to love them just like me. I thought the king of Hyrule as a boat was an awesome plot twist. Then the look on Tetra’s face when she found out that she was Zelda…Oh, priceless! While most of the enemies were easy to beat, the new ways the game allowed you kick their butts (like the parry technique) were pretty cool.
Silver Chaos Adept - December 31, 2003 11:21 AM (GMT)
YOU THINK THE WIND WAKER IS BETTER THEN MAJORA'S MASK!!???!! * dies of shock* WHAT ARE YOU??!!! Heh, but really, I don't think WW compares with OoT... it was missing something, ya know? And why did they change the Kokiri?! And why does Ganondorf look like a twat? He looks UGLY.
Max - December 31, 2003 09:01 PM (GMT)
Yeah really...they made the Kokiri little flaming plant things...and the Deku Tree looks even more retarded...just leave it to Nintendo in this day and age to really screw up a good series like Zelda...I suppose Zelda is way past it's prime right now. It's had a good run, but now it's coolness is running dry. And if they plan on making more games like Windwaker or worse, I think it would be best if Zelda just retired now and quit before it scars the series even further, making people even more repulsed with how it's turned out. At least, that's my opinion on the matter. If you like it...fine...you are unique (and probably blinding yourself to just how stupid the game was. I was in denial when I first got the game too...it couldn't believe they could ruin a Zelda game, but they did...) Well, that's what I think about the matter.
Marlin ßeta - January 1, 2004 03:16 AM (GMT)
An adventure based on the sea?! How more innovative can you get? And yes. I will agree that the next Zelda game should have realistic graphics on par with Starfox Adventures or Metroid Prime. I think the cel-shaded thing was a good one time thing or maybe once every seven games. I don’t think Zelda will ever be past it’s prime. They’ll come up with some great new stuff for the next one and EVERYONE will think it’s better than Ocarina of Time.
Lor - January 1, 2004 05:35 AM (GMT)
nonononononoooooooo ppl. the glorious truth, as we all know, is that zelda: a link to the past for snes and gba is, and always will be, THE best zelda game. and theres no denying that :)
Marlin ßeta - January 1, 2004 02:59 PM (GMT)
Oh come on! Ocarina of Time kicks Link to the Past's butt. So does the Wind Waker. But Ocarina of Time was definitely better than the Wind Waker.
Silver Chaos Adept - January 1, 2004 04:05 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't count Zelda out just yet Max!
Silver Chaos Adept - January 1, 2004 04:47 PM (GMT)
Orcarina had something I can't descibe. You know, a certain spark. Nothing can compete with that.
Mist: I agree.
Luff: As do I.
Wow my muses agreed on something!!! :D
Mist: <_<
Luff: <_<
:D
Crim-Silver Master - January 1, 2004 05:23 PM (GMT)
yes i do like ocarina. but cmon a link to the past is unmatchable. a legend in its own time. O btw guys i am alex i just thought id like to update my name. :) anyway this will be my new name
Silver Chaos Adept - January 1, 2004 05:31 PM (GMT)
Marlin ßeta - January 2, 2004 02:55 AM (GMT)
Why the name change? It doesn’t really seem to have much to do with Golden Sun (neither does Marlin, but that’s different).
Silver Chaos Adept - January 2, 2004 09:37 AM (GMT)
Uh people? Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I hear that the next Zelda will be using the cel-shaded engein.
Max - January 3, 2004 03:05 AM (GMT)
Nooooooooooo....ah well. Another Zelda game to be disappointed in. Hey...Isn't Crim the name of that dude from .Hack//Sign? That cartoon is so dang weird!
Silver Chaos Adept - January 3, 2004 10:41 AM (GMT)
Yo people aparrently the next Zelda will be out this year, no sign of a release date though.
Max - January 4, 2004 01:17 AM (GMT)
They had better not make the mistake of releasing another Zelda just like Windwaker.
Silver Chaos Adept - January 4, 2004 09:25 AM (GMT)
What kind of a game name is THAT?! <_< By the way, don't you think Nintendo should get off their butts and do some decent advertising?
Max - January 5, 2004 12:57 AM (GMT)
Navi's...Trackers? Is that a game where you try and find Navi or somethin after she ran away from Link?
Silver Chaos Adept - January 5, 2004 08:37 AM (GMT)
Wow, that sounds ultra-crap. You didn't answer my question, by the way. <_<
Majinlink - January 6, 2004 02:13 AM (GMT)
It's a game I don't want. It's kind of like Mario Party I think... you just play mini-games. It was orgianlly Tetra's Trackers. that sounds better, if you ask me.
And agghhh... it pisses me off how people think wind waker sucks. Look, try playing the game. the graphics are ingenious.
CEL-SHADED! YEAH!! :ph43r:
Marlin ßeta - January 6, 2004 02:24 AM (GMT)
Majinlink, you need to post more. I loved the Wind Waker. I still haven't gotten all of the pieces of heart. I still need to do that. And yes. Navi’s Trackers is the official “Japanese title” for Tetra’s Trackers.
Majinlink - January 6, 2004 02:31 AM (GMT)
:D I would have more posts but I just signed up like 20 minutes ago
Silver Chaos Adept - January 6, 2004 08:37 AM (GMT)
Good for you! We need more people on this forum!
Marlin ßeta - January 8, 2004 06:20 PM (GMT)
Anyway, I agree. The next Zelda game (well 3-D Zelda game) should have realistic graphics. Cel-shaded was a great one-time deal (I feel like I've said this before). But what really makes me mad is guys coming up to me and making comments about how Zelda is past its prime and how Nintendo is in some kind of downhill slump. The sad thing is that these people haven't even played the games or systems. How can you make an unbiased opinion like that?
Max - January 8, 2004 11:41 PM (GMT)
Haha...Marlin...could you have been referring to me? You must have, since you have mentioned a few of the things I have said before about Zelda. Look...first of all, I DO have all the games and I DO have all the systems, including a gamecube and Windwaker. And i have played and beaten every single one of them, so don't be tellin me that I have a groundless dislike toward Zelda's latest game, Windwaker. I've played it and I thought it sucked. In fact, I thought it was appallingly retarded. An insult to Zelda. Otherwise, I wouldn't be expressing my strong hatred for Windwaker...I just like Zelda games that much.
Anyway, Zelda has had a good run. But now...now I think they should consider giving it a rest, unless of course they decide not to screw up Zelda any more. Alas, Zelda has lost most of its glory and beauty. Then again, most things in life are like that I suppose. It's like my grandpa says: "In the end, we all grow old and ugly." That means that, no matter how beautiful or hot a girl is, she will eventually grow old, wrinkled, and quite frankly unattractive. That's just the way things are. My point is, Zelda is like that once hot chick. It started out beautiful...and turned into whatever it is now.
(quite a long-winded lecture eh? well...that's how i feel about it...read if you want, do not read if you don't. i don't care.)
Marlin ßeta - January 9, 2004 03:16 AM (GMT)
I read your reply, even though the first sentence was sufficient for my reply. No, I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about some bums at college that think they know everything, about everything. It's already been written that the wise man knows himself to be a fool. I don't know everything, but I know a biased opinion cannot lead to a good end. Experience before you judge. That's my position.
Silver Chaos Adept - January 9, 2004 08:40 AM (GMT)
I think you guys lost me here.
Marlin ßeta - January 9, 2004 06:29 PM (GMT)
Video games shouldn’t be judged without playing them first. Max has played Wind Waker, so I wasn’t talking about him. There. That’s a nice summary of what I just said.
