Lord Marlin: Max has left. Sigh...I'm glad the whole ordeal has been taken care of. Max...ahh... nevermind. Let it be forgotten.

[Enter Beyonder]

Beyonder: Lord Marlin, BraveKnight3000 wishes to see you.

Lord Marlin: See me eh? Aye, great. Send him in.

[Enter BraveKnight3000]

BraveKnight3000: Lord Marlin, Hello. You seem well.

Lord Marlin: I'm okay. Beyonder, you may leave now.

Beyonder: Ok fine. I'll be back if you need anything.

[Exit.]

BraveKnight3000: Lord Marlin, are you well?

Lord Marlin: Not really. Physically my wound in my abdomen is still healing. Mentally, I'm still recovering from Max's rebellion.

BraveKnight3000: I hope you recover. You'll be fine then right?

Lord Marlin: Well yes. I presume. Why?

BraveKnight3000 :sad: Well, I have some bad news.

Lord Marlin: Bad news you say? What is it?

BraveKnight3000: I've recently recieved news from my family's home that my mother is ill. I wish to tend to her....if you'll let me leave the nest for a short while.

Lord Marlin: What is her illness?

BraveKnight3000: I was told she had unknowingly eaten a pack of spoiled beef jerky. She has food poisoning now. SuicuneSol has already readied a medicine for me and I plan on leaving this evening. Please Lord Marlin, I wish to tend to my mother.

Lord Marlin: Fine. I grant you your exit. I know exactly how you feel. How long do you think you'll be gone?

BraveKnight3000: I suspect about a month.

Lord Marlin: That's fine. I'll have to ask someone to take your place temporarily when you leave. Good day and be well.

BraveKnight3000: Good day Lord Marlin.

[Exit.]

Canti: God Of The Black Flame: What! You want me to take BraveKnight3000's place for the time being! But....but what if we're attacked!

Lord Marlin: Don't worry B) . I trust in your abilities.

Canti: God Of The Black Flame: My abilities? What abilities! I never had abilities!

Lord Marlin: Don't you remember? You were bragging to Lor and Jaken about how you could summon Charon. So...I'll leave you to do your job. I think maybe you could do it better then BraveKnight.

Canti: But, but it was only....a jest.

Lord Marlin: That's great. I hope you do a great job. B)

Canti: ...

[Enter Lor]

Lor: Hey Canti! There you are! I heard Lord Marlin gave you guardsman place, Lucky devil!

Canti: Uhh...yeah sure. I'm not sure about this.
