Title: Opinion: Consoles
Description: Best console in the opinions of us...

SuicuneSol - April 23, 2004 02:38 AM (GMT)
Imagine there is a huge war between the trademark characters of all the games of all consoles. Finally there is a point where you must choose ONE Console, and all the other consoles must die. What console would you choose?

I will not state my opinion until someone has replied.

Marlin ßeta - April 23, 2004 03:13 AM (GMT)
I didn't even hesitate. Nintendo is my console of choice. B)

Beyonder - April 23, 2004 07:59 AM (GMT)
For me the PC is the best.

God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 23, 2004 02:39 PM (GMT)
I vote Gamecube. Then, when all the other systems die, it will have all the cool games and I won't have to go out and buy another system. And because I have a Gamecube.

Marlin ßeta - April 23, 2004 04:00 PM (GMT)
Out of all trademark characters across all systems, Nintendo has the best array of colorful and well-designed games. PS2, X-Box, and PC have almost none. And there is nothing you can say to refute that statement, because it is simply fact. It's like saying pi is exactly 3. Good luck.

Beyonder - April 23, 2004 04:45 PM (GMT)
The PC has the best power and performance and don't say that there are not colorful and well-designed games for the PC.

Marlin ßeta - April 23, 2004 05:19 PM (GMT)
I said Nintendo has the most colorful characters out of any system. <_< PC has almost no well-known characters for it's games. PC is also the least powerful out of all the systems. I have yet to see a PC game that can produce better graphics than any console system. Most PC games have worse graphics than PS1 (and that is terrible). Not only that, but PCs are slow, they have terrible loading times, they can freeze, or get a virus. I've never heard of a Gamecube getting a virus. B)

windseer1986 - April 23, 2004 05:21 PM (GMT)
if my gameboy had a virus, megaman.exe would delete it! :P
i like the nintendo characters, although i wish they would spend just a little less time with the consoles and started making more good games for the gameboy.

Marlin ßeta - April 23, 2004 05:24 PM (GMT)
Eh, Gamecube is too expensive for you, huh? I like GBA and Gamecube equally. B) But I'd go Gamecube if I had to choose because I have a Gameboy player. :}

windseer1986 - April 23, 2004 05:28 PM (GMT)
i wish there was a way to play gba on the tv without gamecube
ive been wanting to see gs on a bigger screen ever since i got it.....

God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 23, 2004 09:54 PM (GMT)
Alas, the only way to get GS on the big screen id to get a Gamecube. Good thing I have one! :}

SuicuneSol - April 23, 2004 11:15 PM (GMT)
Hehe, I want to see a big debate on this.

Anyway, I choose Gamecube too. Marlin's right. It has the largest arsenal of well-known characters then any other system. That's why they have the SSB. series. And PC is cool yes. But it's graphics can't match up to the smoothness of a console that doesn't have all the other clutter on the system. It's just the game.

Lor - April 23, 2004 11:19 PM (GMT)
I would take my regular nintendo or super nintendo. i don't care what anyone says, they had the best games ever. Earthbound, Metroid, Super Mario All-Stars, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong. and nes has fun classics like river city ransom, excite bike, ice hockey, and spy vs spy. Earthbound is one of my all time favorite games, and i hope they release it for the gba.

SuicuneSol - April 23, 2004 11:23 PM (GMT)
Yay! I liked Earthbound too....up until it got so difficult I quit.

God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 24, 2004 12:14 AM (GMT)
I've never played Earthbound, but i really wish I could. Ness is cool in SSB and SSBM.

Lor - April 24, 2004 02:34 AM (GMT)
got 2 difficult you quit? man what part did you get up too? i beat that game when i was 6 man you can't tell me its too hard.

SuicuneSol - April 24, 2004 03:35 AM (GMT)
The part in the cave when I'm saving the Professor and all the other people who were abducted.

Kelo - April 24, 2004 03:45 AM (GMT)
I Like The PC And The Gamecube But I Had To Chose One Now I Think I Go With The Gamecube Cause It Is
1. Lighter And Its Portable
2.Has Famous Characters On It Like Marlin Said

Marlin ßeta - April 24, 2004 01:47 PM (GMT)
I've heard such great stuff about Earthbound, but I've never had a chance to play it. It's really disappointing.

God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 24, 2004 02:57 PM (GMT)
Same here. Looks like Gamecube is gonna completely wipe out the competition in this place. Geez, I never thought that would happen. :P

Lor - April 24, 2004 03:41 PM (GMT)
omg marlin are you serious that you never played earthbound? CRAP MAN GET A SUPER NINTENDO AND EARTHBOUND ON EBAY AND START PLAYING YOU HAVE TO PLAY IT ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Marlin ßeta - April 24, 2004 03:52 PM (GMT)
That would be expensive (and right now I need to conserve so that I can renew my yearly subscription and keep Aerie of the Roc up and running).

Lor - April 24, 2004 03:53 PM (GMT)
lol the most it would cost for earthbound and a snes would be 30 bucks

Kelo - April 24, 2004 03:55 PM (GMT)
Poor Marlin

Beyonder - April 24, 2004 04:55 PM (GMT)
The PC has more power than a console! And check Far Cry out. This game has the best graphics ever. And what about Doom 3 and Half Life 2 that will come out.
Also there are the Lord of the Rings games.

And about the virus, if you can 'control' your PC then you have no problems at all with these viruses.

And ever heard of Pentium 4 and AMD athlon? These processors are much faster then console processors.

Silver Chaos Adept - April 24, 2004 05:23 PM (GMT)
I like the Gamecube and everything, but above every other game I love Final Fantasy games. Especially 7. -_-

God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 24, 2004 05:25 PM (GMT)
So what are you gonna vote for?

Silver Chaos Adept - April 24, 2004 05:25 PM (GMT)
Umm.... I won't.

God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 24, 2004 05:27 PM (GMT)
Okay, your loss. Though I'm not sure what you're losing....

Silver Chaos Adept - April 24, 2004 05:28 PM (GMT)
I have nothing to lose except my Play Station!

God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 24, 2004 05:29 PM (GMT)
I want a playstation.

Marlin ßeta - April 24, 2004 10:57 PM (GMT)
The problem with PC games is that you need to get a more expensive "system" each time you have to upgrade to play a new game. Some of those nasty graphics chips cost $500+. That is just awful. THEN, if somebody else needs to use the computer (say, for homework) you get kicked off. This means you need to buy your own computer, which means more money. PC sucks for gaming. :vein: Period.

SuicuneSol - April 25, 2004 02:27 AM (GMT)
But, Beyonder, what happens when you're PC runs out of memory? Consoles just don't do that...

Kelo - April 25, 2004 02:33 AM (GMT)
Ya but if you played alot of games you would have lots of memory cards.

God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 25, 2004 02:44 AM (GMT)
Exactly, that's what he means. And I still want a Playstation.

Kelo - April 25, 2004 02:44 AM (GMT)
Oh

Lor - April 25, 2004 02:47 AM (GMT)
i got a regular playstation with 3 games. Final Fantasy 7, DragonBall GT Final Bout, and dance dance revolution konamix.

Kelo - April 25, 2004 02:53 AM (GMT)
All I have is a Gamecube

God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 25, 2004 02:58 AM (GMT)
I have a NES, a N64, a GBC, a GBA, and a GC. Wow. Pretty much all nintendo systems can be initialized with 3 letters or less. But that's what I have. I also get Nintendo Power, a magazine from Nintendo of America. I am a Nintendo exclusive kid. :}

Kelo - April 25, 2004 03:00 AM (GMT)
I used to get Nintendo Power like 7..6..5 or 4 years ago but i had to stop i ran out of money
