If that works (i doubt it) you would end up in Crossbone Isle. CBI is found in that same sea.
SuicuneSol - April 10, 2004 05:41 AM (GMT)
It is a true thing. Although I never tried it.
Beyonder - April 10, 2004 01:17 PM (GMT)
I tried it and it did work perfectly, but you can't do the whole CBI then because you need some other psyenergy.
Silver Chaos Adept - April 10, 2004 03:21 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I heard of that cheat.
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 10, 2004 04:17 PM (GMT)
So it does work. Cool. '_'
Silver Chaos Adept - April 10, 2004 05:13 PM (GMT)
why__? - April 11, 2004 12:02 AM (GMT)
it works well, and i reccomend doing it cuz even though u can't go all the way through it, it's really long and when u get the rest of the psyenergy, it makes it faster and less boring to go through all the puzzles.
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 11, 2004 01:28 AM (GMT)
All these things I didn't know the first time I played GS! 8| Why didn't Iknow?!?!
Silver Chaos Adept - April 12, 2004 02:20 PM (GMT)
I never did the Cross Bone Isle puzzles.
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 12, 2004 10:21 PM (GMT)
I didn't either the first time I played. By the time I got carry I'd forgotten about Crossbone Isle. '_'

its a good idea to do the ship method(i did once) because u can get some cool stuff like the mystery blade and things there that if u get later on are peices of crap. plus u can level up some.
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 22, 2004 02:43 PM (GMT)
But you won't be able to get far. You need other psynergy to get to the end. It's easier to do it all at once at the end of the game.
windseer1986 - April 23, 2004 06:44 PM (GMT)
but once ur that far, some of the stuff u couldve got doing the ship way is no longer any good. if you go in early you get good stuff for that part of the game
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 23, 2004 10:25 PM (GMT)
Whatever. I'd just rather do things all at once. -_-
the_isaac - April 25, 2004 02:25 PM (GMT)
what will it look like when u go there with the ship? is there like a special scene? how do you get off it? (does the ship leave without you?? 8| )
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 25, 2004 03:55 PM (GMT)
of course not! If the ship left without you, you'd be stuck there forever. -_-
the_isaac - April 25, 2004 04:11 PM (GMT)
no u wouldn't.. there would alwas be the pink whirlwind...
ZaberTheAlmighty - April 25, 2004 11:43 PM (GMT)
The pink tornado is only there if you rode it from the Suhulla Desert. Everyone thinks that CBI is in the Kargol Sea(Is that right?), but if you use the walk through walls cheat for the world map and go west of Imil, you discover it's at the northwest corner of Weyard!
the_isaac - April 26, 2004 12:47 PM (GMT)
weird...then how the hell did they do that... rowing over land?! 8|

TOLBI-BOUND SHIP ----------------
Enemies ------- ---------------- | Lizard Fighter | | Man o' War | | Rabid Bat | | Virago | | Kraken (Boss) | ----------------
Items ----- --------------- | 23 Coins | | Anchor Charm | | Lucky Medal | | Nut | | Water of Life | ---------------
You'll find the Tolbi-Bound Ship to be a place of frustration and mutiny. The passengers want to leave, but the Captain is hesitant because of sea monsters. You're going to have to get things going by yourself.
First order of business: raid the ship of valuables! Head down the stairway in the middle of the deck first. The barrel at the south end of the room contains a LUCKY MEDAL. Head in the door behind the chef, and check a barrel here for 23 COINS. Head to the south end of the deck to find the Captain's cabin. A really suspicious looking guy will run out when you get near. Enter the cabin and check the jar for a NUT.
Now head back out and talk to the dude that just ran out. He's by the prow of the ship, and if you use Mind Read on him, you'll find that he hid the Anchor Charm on top of the mast. Head up there, and check around for the ANCHOR CHARM.
Now head back into the area behind the chef again (where you found the 23 Coins) and head north to prompt a cut scene. After they rush out, follow them to the Captain's quarters. After some fighting and yelling, give the Captain the Anchor Charm, and the ship will finally be on its merry way. Head down below the passenger quarters to reach where the people row. Your job is to protect the rowers, and select new ones if any are injured.
Now, there's a secret area you can get to now called Crossbone Isle. If you want to reach it, you have to select passengers in a specific order to row. There are a few benefits of doing this now, and I'll continue the walkthrough as if you selected this course.
After just a little bit, monsters will attack the ship.
Fight #1 - Man o' War X3
After the battle, go upstairs to choose a new oarsman. The guy you want is the arrogant dude in the green cape on the right side of the room.
"Hey! You're not thinking of making me an oarsman, are you?"
Fight #2 - Lizard Fighter, Rabid Bat X2
Another oarsman is needed. The bald guy on the left side of the room is who you're looking for.
"What? Ohhhh, noooo... Are you going to make me row?"
Fight #3 - Virago, Man o' War X2
Now you want the chef.
"You... You must be joking. You want me to row?"
Karken FIGHT
After the battle, you need to select one more rower. Choose the old man in the bottom left.
"Out of all these people, you're asking a frail old man like me to row?"
This combination of oarsman will take you to Crossbone Isle, and you'll have a whole new place to explore. You're asked to disembark and scout ahead. |

The worst thing about it is that even though all battles there are boss battles, they give crap EXP, crap rewards and the only decent battle is Deadbeard and, personally, he is harder than the Fusion Dragon.
SuicuneSol - April 7, 2007 12:20 AM (GMT)
^_^ I find the boss battles themselves rewards. Makes sense that boss's wouldn't drop anything valuable, since the boss's are mostly gorillas, squids, and lizards. I wouldn't expect them to drop swords, armor, or lots of gold. ;)
windseer1986 - April 7, 2007 04:10 AM (GMT)
I just wish you got a better reward at the end than the cursed mail. So useless. Usually cursed items are supposed to have some really powerful attribute to balance out the fact that they are cursed.
Max - June 1, 2007 07:53 PM (GMT)
I agree with Suicune that bosses are worth more than the items they drop. After all, it isn't just the item you fight for...at least, not if you're a real adventurer. The item just stands for the spoils you got from the fight, a token of your mastery. The real fun is in battling the big boss. The harder the boss, the sweeter the victory. It's just a shame that once the bosses are gone, they're gone. It's always a good feeling when you know you have a challenging nemesis of equal strength and wits.

ZaberTheAlmighty - June 20, 2007 08:44 AM (GMT)
Agreed. I'd rather test my skills upon Dullahan than wipe out smaller enemies for items. Though depending on the item...
But really. That's why the Arena is so much fun. I think I got at least a hundred straight battles. But I'd have to check.
windseer1986 - June 20, 2007 06:28 PM (GMT)
I got up to like 77 then died because it put me against fusion dragon like 4 times in a row.
ZaberTheAlmighty - June 21, 2007 06:26 AM (GMT)
Alright, I went and checked. I think I overwrote my game that had a ton of Arena battles on it, but oh well. Only 42 on GS2, while I ended up with 93 in GS1. Go figure.
