Title: Some Of My Work

1) Borders imo make many pictures look cleaner and crisp.
2) Lots of clashing colors. While it can work in your favor sometimes, the particular colors chosen here do not.
3) If you put your name on a signature, make it noticed in a good way. Use subtle placement and fonts.
4) It looks like you mainly used screenshots with effects over them. Another way to go about it is making a signature with screenshots inside the effects.
Example
The use of those two pictures as polaroids gives them a different view, and it catches the eye.
Keep at it, though.

Not that I'm good at Photoshop or anything, but those sigs look a bit too abstract...

I think that you should either get rid of the background in which the character is in or use the background an put effects around the image.
From what I am seeing, it seems that choice 1 would be what you are aiming for. C4d renders might help you get the look you want. Get the character in the picture to stand out. A cheap tactic that I used when I was out of ideas awhile ago was to just put awesome effects in the background, get a gicture of a character or whatever, and then duplicate the background on top of the character. After that, I just erase where the character is and the character isn't covered, but it still has some...appearing out of nowhere effect.
Choice 2 I have even less experience with...
Lor should be able to help way more than I can.

Hmm,I tried with these....

The second one looks quer but I think its kinda cool.
The 3rd one Im not too sure about.....

Sometimes with effects, less is more. Quality over quantity. The third one looks the best, in my opinion. It's easy on the eyes, and Ephidel's face draws immediate attention. I would suggest moving him more to the left, though.

All of your sigs have the focus too much on one side, or so it seems.

Ouch my eyes!
Try to combine a few images but don't do too much effects with them...
Also to do a border in Photoshop (i have Photoshop 6) just go to Edit -> Stroke -> width: 1px -> and then select inside.

Sorry for Double Post.
I've managed to make the most of the gradients and paterns of Paint Shop Pro,maybe it does have what I need.
Yes I know the text is hard to read and altair is a bit too blended into the image but in my opinion its the best I've made so far. ^_^

Don't rely too much on the built-in features of the program. Make the art your art, not the program's.

Ah yes but the color, style and fonts are mine, actually that is(I think)one of the fonts they used in NFS:Pro Street.
But its good enough right?
FelixGSTLA - January 9, 2008 05:37 AM (GMT)
The font's color for the Altair? sig should be a bit different. It is too hard to read because it's color and shading is similar to its background.
Lionman363 - January 9, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
Yeah I suppose.
(Do you even know who Altair is? :gsvein: )
FelixGSTLA - January 10, 2008 02:05 AM (GMT)
Yes. Main character of Assassin's Creed. It's an awesome game.

Hey Lionman, right now I'm playing a lot of Super Smash Bros Brawl and currently post a lot on the Smashboards forum.
My title is Kalm, and my top 3 characters are Donkey Kong, Ike, and Toon Link(from the Windwaker).
I need to get a signature with my name and those three in it, if you can get a good one up for me I'll be happy to credit you.
