Sui-kun - December 27, 2007 05:49 AM (GMT)
Well, this Christmas I received a nice watch (I really needed it!) a pair of high-tech portable chopsticks, a Google shirt, a Command Post shirt, a book called The Millionaire Mind, and about fifty dollars. I've spent a few already on some flour so I could make Japan#2, Suihanja-pan! (aka. Rice-cooker bread)
It didn't turn out so great because for some reason the dough didn't rise properly. :/ But my mom liked it because it was crunchy on the outside and very soft on the inside. But that's because the inside was still dough. >_<
I'll try again tommorow!
windseer1986 - December 27, 2007 03:09 PM (GMT)

Suicune-san, what are "hi-tech portable chopsticks"?
Also... What recipe did you use for your Suihan Ja-pan?

Im sure he was joking about that. -_-
Sui-kun - December 29, 2007 06:45 AM (GMT)
The Suihanja-pan recipe is included in the manga of Yakitate Japan! There's an entire chapter dedicated to it. I also looked on the internet for a more in-depth guide, and found it here:
http://celaby6691.multiply.com/recipes/item/1As for the chopsticks, no it's not a joke. The chopsticks come in this portable carry case, which sort of looks like a glasses case. When you open it, there are two chopstick handles, with several interchangeable parts. There's parts for Chinese chopsticks, as well as sushi chopsticks.
I sort of exaggerated-- they're not "high-tech", but they are cool. :}
FelixGSTLA - December 29, 2007 08:59 AM (GMT)
I also found the recipe but never had the time, energy, or resources to make it.
About the chopsticks.... Isn't that kinda hi-tech? Interchangeable parts are hi-techish....

Hey guys, sorry it's been a while, I've been... busy.
I got a PS3 for Christmas. And my mom got it at Wal-Mart on the day after
Thanksgiving, and Wal-Mart happened to be doing this special where you get 10 free Blu-ray movies of your choice from off the shelf with the purchase of the PS3 (plus, I still hafta get the 5 free movies in the mail that you get with the purchase of any Blu-ray player). So I go 10 Blu-ray movies 2, only 3 of which I kept and I exchanged the rest for movies I actually wanted (my mom just kinda picked some.) Anyway, my little brother got an Xbox360, and Rock Band with it, but I really wasn't content with that, because that meant he would be in control of it, and, well, I'd really prefer that he wasn't. So, I got about $175 for Christmas, and my brother and sister each owed me $40 for our parents' Christmas present, so on the 26th I went out and traded in my Guitar Hero III for Wii, and got it, and my own copy of Rock Band, for PS3. I kinda sucked at the drums, it's weird transitioning from Guitar Hero to drums, because now you need to use your foot... anyway, by now I've beaten all songs except for Run to the Hills on hard. This games is so awesome. Best. Game. Ever.
Also, the PS3 itself is awesome. It does freakin everything! I can play music that's on my computer from the Playstation, without actually having to put the music on the Playstation. That's my favorite part. Anyway, I hope everyone else had an awesome Christmas, I've gotta go get ready for work.

YO
i got 3-4 pair of socks in christmas + a bible (or something like that... either way, i don't read it)
and there goes my christmas
woot, interchangeable chopsticks =D?
i'd love to see a picture of that :gsjoy:
Marlin Beta - January 4, 2008 02:52 AM (GMT)
I got a couple hundred dollars which I used to buy a bunch of stuff. So far I've bought:
DSLite Gold + Phantom Hourglass (totally awesome game by the by)
Anime: Genshiken and Origins
Soundtracks: Rune Factory and Pokemon Diamond
I'm thinking about getting a tattoo with some of the remaining money! I'll bet most of you never thought ol' Marlin would consider something so crude, eh?
God of the Black Flame: Canti - January 4, 2008 03:25 AM (GMT)
Wow, no, I didn't. I've thought about getting a tattoo myself, honestly. Of course, it would be nintendo related. I don't know what to get though. I want to get something to represent nintendo as a whole, but I don't want just the plain red logo with the oval around the word Nintendo. I was thinking about the N64 N logo, but then that would be specifically representing the N64. I dunno. But, about 20 seconds ago, I just thought of something. A 1-up mushroom! It would be small, on like, my upper right arm, under the sleeve. I'll be 18 on Jan. 25, not that I plan on doing it quite so soon though, but I mean, I could.
Holy crap, it really has been almost 4 years here. Wow.
