Description: Green Red Yellow Orange Blue

Ashes_Of_Fire - December 1, 2007 08:19 AM (GMT)
I got this for my birthday earlier this month, and it's definately got a good line up of songs.
I finished it on Medium and started on hard, and wi-fi is quite fun too. :gshappy:

Has anyone else bought it yet?

Lionman363 - December 1, 2007 09:42 AM (GMT)
I might be getting it,did you get the Wii version?

pumpkin - December 1, 2007 10:51 AM (GMT)
dont have 360....

but what i really hate, is that you HAVE to BUY a friggin' new console everytime if you want to play a good game.... >____>

like sp -> ds
xbox -> 360
n64 -> gamecube
gamecube -> wii
and so on----

(isn't wi-fi wireless internet?)

SuicuneSol - December 1, 2007 07:37 PM (GMT)
That's only if there's only one good game per system, my pumpkin. Surely you don't believe that?

Yes, WiFi is wireless internet. I think it's only Nintendo that does it though. Xbox 360 might have it faster with a different kind of connection.

I'm not a Guitar Hero fan. I don't like the songs, and it's too much like DDR for guys.

Are you saying that guitar-playing is a testosterone, male-driven sport? Because that's almost slightly offensive.

SuicuneSol - December 2, 2007 03:55 AM (GMT)
Of course not. I know plenty of girls/women who play Guitar too (a sport, you say?). And DDR isn't an exclusive male thing either (I used to do it sometimes in HS, but I could never keep up)
I haven't actually played the game, but I've watched. You have to press the buttons on the "guitar controller" and match up, just like in DDR.

I'm sorry for my offensive remark. I wasn't thinking.

@Lion: Yeah, even though I heard that there was stereo / mono problems, it wasn't really worth going and buying another console.

@Pumpkin: Yeah, just as I heard of Banjo Kazooie comming out next year for the 360 (I was a fan when I was a few years younger) But it's not going to make me buyy a 360. =]

@Suicune: Can't take a little rock n' metal? Just kidding.
Oh well, we all have our taste in music and games. :D

That sucks. I got Guitar Hero 3 at midnight when it was released (I have the Wii version). Sadly, I was disappointed. There really aren't a lot of great songs. And a lot of it just seems like they were trying to put in as many notes as they could to make it as hard as they could make it. In some cases that just made it more of a chore than fun. I still can't beat Raining Blood on expert, but I hear that that song gives a lot of people trouble on all difficulty levels. But once I beat that (if ever), I don't think I'll have too much of a problem beating Lou.

Through the Fire and Flames is impossible on Expert. Well, not really, because there are some people who can do it, but I can't, so I just play it in practice mode. If I could just get past the beginning, I'm sure I would be fine, but I can only get 1-2% of the way into the song.

a game which concept is the same as guitar hero....

Awesome!
There's another computer knockoff of guitar hero that's a little more complicated, you have to actually download and install it. It's the same as guitar hero, it has you holding the keyboard like a guitar (by default), but you can set the frets and strum bar to any keys you want. It's called Frets on Fire (google it, dont just put a .com at the end, it's not the site for the game)

Ashes_Of_Fire - December 18, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
I thought Through the fire and the flames was harder than Raining Blood.
From Easy to Medium, there was an extra 600 notes to play, it took me a few goes since I'd never played before.

Yeah, I can see what you're getting at there Canti, I thought the more than half the songs in campaign were crap.

Brendor The Ogre Cleaver - December 19, 2007 06:28 PM (GMT)
Of course Through the Fire and the Flames is a harder song, it is the ULTIMATE song of the game. many of the songs were classics, but the thing is... songs that are on there that some people dont like are usually from the other coast(i.e west coast of the US etc.) and so many people arent used to those songs, therefore dislike them, or sumtin....

like me i never heard of AFI cause theyre not popular here but Scorpions,Balck Sabbath, All that remains, and a few others are.

ithink....

ZaberTheAlmighty - December 19, 2007 11:19 PM (GMT)
I'm stuck on Expert. -.- Curse you, Raining Blood! Anyway. I can think of a few better songs from Dragonforce they could have used instead of Through the Fire and Flames, but oh well.

Brendor The Ogre Cleaver - December 26, 2007 02:35 AM (GMT)
operation ground and pound would have been a better choice if you ask me.

HAH! i finnally got my own gh3 and guitar of my own today YAY!
(was previously borrowing on from a friend{both on ps2})
