Title: World of Endilith

Lionman363 - November 13, 2007 06:58 PM (GMT)
Why doesn't anyone post in the World Of Endilith anymore?
Lord Marlin lets revive it!

SuicuneSol - November 13, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
The administrator of the World of Endilith is Jaken Veina. Jaken is... hasn't been on for a while. Endilith is not likely to come back.

If we want an RP, we'll have to make a new one.

Lor - November 14, 2007 12:47 AM (GMT)
Adeptation is still ready if anyone wants to roleplay. It's pretty much a duplicate of the old AoA roleplay.

Way to skip over my post, Sport.

I am constantly amused how Lionman somehow finds a way to make a fool of himself.

1) Don't try and make Zaber seem like a bad guy. He is very right. I used to be alot more fun, but like many other people, I grew up some. I'm still very fun, just not around here. Why? Well, this hasn't been a fun place for a long time, and many fun people are inactive. So now I make sure no garbage comes into these forums via people like you, Lionman, because this site gave me many great memories, and I want other people to have them too.

2) Now, I thought you weren't very intelligent before, but it was stupid to actually GIVE me a link where I can see, in plain sight, you saying that you don't like me, and even going so far as to insult the Jewish people, which would be completely irrelevant except my being partly Jewish.

3) If you had taken the time to read my post (and I use the term "read" very lightly in your case), you might have questioned what Adeptation was. It's a site I specifically built for people from this forum to roleplay.

4) I really don't care if you like me or not. I get along with just about everyone, so if you have a problem with me, I think that's something to be said about you, not me. I say that confidently because I can tell you I've had more than one person complaining about you.

5) If you have read this far, congratulations. You've earned yourself a ban for 5 days. You have given this forum more negative contributions than positive. I suggest in your time off, you try and figure out a way to fix that.

Thank you :gshappy:

Mathias - November 17, 2007 10:07 PM (GMT)
yay, thats what you get for trying to start noob drama man

now then, may i have a link to this adeptation thread please? im not quite exactly sure where to look for it but im interested in it

Lor - November 17, 2007 10:29 PM (GMT)
Adeptation Board

There is probably some bot spam there, which I never bothered to clear off because it didn't seem like people were going to go there. You can take a look around it if you want. I'd open it up again if people want, or even move the RPG shrine here. (The other forums were there because I was trying to move the whole forum.)

Mewtation - November 18, 2007 06:16 PM (GMT)
Poor Adeptation, it never had a chance.

Lionman363 - November 22, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)
Its strange isnt it....why have I been such a dick for the past few weeks in TRN?

First of all, apologies to Lor after Ive just been such a jerk to him, posting a link to a topic were I was making fun of him, that was just wrong and stupid.

Lor,I dont hate you I just started to rather lose my liking towards you ever since you started losing your 'fun' side but back then I did like you,in fact you were one of my favourite members here. ^_^

You are right,Im acting like a blaggard here,my annoying posts have started to turn people away from TRN,also its a bad reputation for my forum as well,if people see me acting like an imbecil they will not bother joining my forum.

Sorry to Suicune as I have been worrying him since I was changing too... o_O
Back then I used to be quite but now Ive turned into a fool who acts like he is 5 years old.

Sorry to FTQ too, after a while Ive started to do to her what my cousin used to do.

The past few weeks here I used to cause trouble,Im sorry...Im really sorry, this 5 day break has thought me a lesson....I blend in badly....

Kaede - November 22, 2007 09:13 PM (GMT)
Wow.

I'm impressed. And surprised - what a mature stance you've taken, Lionman! Perhaps this is the perfect opportunity for you to make a fresh impression - as you have done on me.

Stay true to what you have said and I imagine you'll win back everyone's approval (: I certainly know that I'm impressed.

Mathias - November 23, 2007 04:29 AM (GMT)
im impressed by results, not promises

*sits back with his arms crossed*

lets see how this turns out

i looked at adeptation, and saw again the reason i didnt get interested in it when it was first made

i looked at character creation immediately and was very disiappointed to see that the spell selection relied so heavily on Golden Sun, and that the classes werent very creative and lacked variety

i certainly dont mean to insult anyone over this, ill even go as far as to say "its not what im used to"

i would love to work a forum RP, but my personal opinion, we need to revise some things

if i havent pissed anyone off about it, im offering to help with this

Lor - November 23, 2007 05:26 PM (GMT)
No, I somewhat agree with you. All of the rules there are exact or nearly exact duplicates of the rules from Age of Adepts, which started that roleplay, and had over 100 participants. Feel free to make suggestions. And make them in this topic. I'd rather just make a roleplay sub-forum here instead of having everyone going back and forth.

Uh-huh,thanks Kaede, you seem to understand me.
I wont be making any jokes here anymore, each time I make a joke its just hurtful, racist or pointless, that part of me will be gone.
In fact.....just like Lor,Im gonna change to.....lets say 'serious' version of me....*rolls eyes*

Mathias - November 24, 2007 08:57 PM (GMT)
well, naturally we would have to create a much larger selection of classes to choose from, that wouldnt be hard

8 physical and 8 magical classes would make for a good variety in my opinion

Warrior Sage
Monk Druid
Dark Knight Wizard
Paladin Priest
Dragoon Necromancer
Ranger Summoner
Ninja Shaman
Samurai Something Else

theres a rough idea on classes

the abilites dont need to be so made up, it makes things to easy for people to make up stupid abilities
it would be better to just create a game mechanic that gives people a custom feel by making their character unique by selection, for example, give each of the classes abilities throughout the levels and give them an enterchangable mechanic that would allow someone to combine the powers of a Dark Night with a Necromancer with a Wizard
to furthur add to this, make a wide selection of weapon types

Sword(s)
2h Sword
Axe(s)
2h Axe
Mace
2h Mace
Spear
Dagger(s)
Claw(s)
Pole
Staff
Wand
Unarmed

another rough idea, now we can allow furthur customazation by allowing characters to level their weapon skill, and learn special attacks or finishing moves with them, and then make these enterchangable in a way as well

how does some of that sound?

Lionman363 - November 24, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
I might join Adeption when I get bored of dark Forest but that could take a Very long time.

Lor - November 24, 2007 09:39 PM (GMT)
Interesting. The class idea has merit, and I like the idea of the weapons. What if each character got a weapon that was made specifically for them, and that's the one they can level up. It could be a piece of armor too, for that matter.

To make a comparison, it could be kind of like Inuyasha's Tetsaiga. It starts out unwieldy, but over time he learns to control it, and use it to unleash new abilities like the wind scar and backlash wave.

Lionman363 - November 24, 2007 09:43 PM (GMT)
Well lets revive it!
I can advertise it for you!
Half the forums Im on have 2000+ members!
I can advertise it alongside mine!
Well?Or will we just let it die out? '_'

Mathias - November 25, 2007 07:36 AM (GMT)
i think that having the character revolving solely around a weapon made for them may be a bad idea, however we could tone it down to give certain weapons evolving characteristics near endgame

i think that the weapons should be a mix of buying, monster drops, chests, and quests, and we could have quests and perhaps certain crafts like blacksmithing help to evolve the weapons

i dont think the weapons should get abilites that can be chosen to use, but certain affects that have a chance on hit would be nice, like adding a fireball or healing the wielder

i think that a weapon usage as an extra could be done, but if so then it couldnt be anything as big as a Wind Scar, such powerful abilites to be used on command should be left to activation viz the person skill with that type of weapon, not the weapon itself

example...

Great Sword Skill- 4
Abilites:
Divider Rank 1- Powerful Slash that deals 150% damage. Costs 8 skill points.
Fissure Rank 1- Transfers power to the earth through your blade, creating a quake that deals 75% damage to all land enemies. Costs 11 Skill points.

Current Weapon- Lucavi
DMG- 14, Weight 12, Durability 35, 2 sockets
25% chance on hit. Corrupts the target, dealing 30 damage over 3 turns and lowering their strength by 10% during that time.

there we have examples of early and upgradable weapon skills, with a currcency of skill points that can be aquired thoughout battle through a certain process
we see a special weapon that has weight, so that any class can equip but only certain classes can use it while holding onto their armor without being weakened significantly, it has a need to be repaired from time to time, and sockets allow for certain stats to furthur be put into this weapon, perhaps to make it lighter, do more dmg, or give its user extra hp, it has a chance on hit that can turn the tides of battle easily as well

what do you think?

Lor - November 25, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
I see your points on several of the ideas, but I think you are moving too close to the video game realm. I don't think actually having a blacksmith system would be as ideal as just having a place where items could be repaired.

As far as those weapon abilities, who and what controls when those abilities are activated? I see problems if it's dependent only on the person writing. What if they had to charge up to use that ability, like a Limit Break (FF7)? Or maybe we could put a set amount of times it could be used. If we had a battle system, how would all of this play into that? We need a way to stop people from god-moding.

Mathias - November 26, 2007 06:51 AM (GMT)
yeah when i said blacksmith i basically just meant they repair weapons and armor, customize weapons and armor, and maybe build a couple weapons in the game via materials (i was thinking unique materials, not a large variety of BS made weapons, just a few special ones scattered throughout the story)
i would understand keeping it that simple though

heres a weapon skill system ive used before in previous RPG experiments, thats one of my favorites

Special Points, these allow you to preform special abilites with the appropriate weapon as you fight. Basic SP regeneration is as follows: 1 point is gained each time you take damage equal to 20% of your hp or more, and 1 is gained whenever you deal damage to the target, 2 points are gained for each enemied defeated/killed.
(rough idea, ive actually forgotten a good bit of the mechanics and am feeling too lazy to pull the papers back up)

Characters 20 SP for each weapon to begin with, and each time they level up their skill with that weapon they gain 4 more points. (A max level would be maybe 8 or so, after that you would want to focus on leveling the ranks of your specific skills by using them often.) Weapon Skill levels can be gained after defeating enough enemies with the weapon and using enough of it's special abilites. You only gain SP for the currently equipped weapon, and you can only bring two weapons to gain skill from into battle. You can use whatever weapon you like whenever you like, but you must determine which weapons you can use/gain SP with via a Weapon Master in towns. You will have a Primary and a Secondary weapon, the Secondary will have 18 SP, and gain 3 for each level, the level cap will be lower, such as 6. You will have to swap weapons to begin using/gaining SP for the other weapon, swapping weapons in the middle of battle will consume one turn.

all of these statistics will eliminate a god-mod, and characters will enjoy utilizing their SP and favorite weapons in combat for personality

soooooooo comment ^_^
