Title: So...
Mercury Goddess - October 19, 2007 03:45 PM (GMT)
A little bird informed me that some people actually wanted to talk to me again.
Which... to be honest, confuses me since the drama I caused I am not proud of and vanished out of recognition of my own idiocy. I find it safe if they don't let me out of the looney farm too often, yes.
Anyway, I guess I'm back.. ish? Just thought I'd toss out an apology for the nonsense of back then. It isn't how I usually act, and is more akin with people I tried to get out from around than it is with my own personality.
I can't promise I'm gonna be all that active, as I have two MMO's, a job, and my own things to deal with anymore, but we'll see.

SEE! SEE SUICUNE! MORE PEOPLE!
Hi! Again.
Mercury Goddess - October 19, 2007 07:00 PM (GMT)
MMO's: Final Fantasy 11 and Lord of the Rings: Online.
Both pretty time intensive depending, especially FFXI.
It was Suicune that found me, anyway. :P

Welcome Back!
I prefer LOTR online. ^_^
Mercury Goddess - October 20, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
LotR:O is one of the best games (MMO or not) I've played in ages. I adore it. I play on the EU servers, though.

Do love how the two MMO's are mentioned in the same breath as the job.
Welcome back.

>.< Please don't overanalyze, even as a joke, its a pet peeve of mine. I do have my social life and priorities quite straight. At 23, I do believe I'm mature enough to realize one's family/friends/social life is the core of their wellbeing. And I tend to that quite well.
And if that's snappy, I'm sorry, but it really is a pet peeve. Drives me up the wall. x_x
'Own things to deal with' was also in that breath, as there is quite a bit going on in my life atm that is either ticking me off, stressing me out, or just distracting me in general. Where I came from, a list of things that go together went together. :P All of those go together. They're all things more important than 'teh intarwob.' New books can even go in the same breath as job, as I've discovered a lovely new trilogy that I'm enthralled with.
Anywho, Bannable Offenses is not a real GM, just in case you thought it was. Not that I think anyone is silly enough to think that. It's a guy just taking the piss of FFXI and GMs. My high school friend worked for XI as a GM for a year before moving to Chicago to take a better job. It's nowhere near as funny nor as exciting as that, though he had a few amusing stories.

I do know how it is.
:P I do it to my friends all the time.
They get kinda miffed and I say 'Well, you did kinda leave the door open, so I just stepped on in there.'
But yeah, GM Dave is funny. And there are some funny things that really happen.
My friend told me about this time a guy tried to send a ticket against this girl on Fairy server, saying she was harassing him. This girl had caused problems in the past, but had really turned around and become a nice member of the server, but some people are such assholes...
Anyway, he tried to send the ticket, and then after he sent it started trying to MPK the girl. Right at that time, my friend shows up (being the GM on the ticket) and sees the guy trying to MPK her, which is, needless to say, against the rules. GMs can also read chat logs and he could see she had said nothing to the guy or indeed anything to anyone in quite a while.
So he warps the guy off to the 'jail' zone, and when the guy zones in he goes ballistic. 'WTF?! Why isn't she in here! She started it!' on and on... until my friend used his GM command that keeps the player from being able to enter anything in the chat window.
It was the only way to shut him up long enough to talk. XD

true.
sometimes, nothing other than putting a big stone in the mouth to shut it helps.
its too bad that at most places, normal peoples can't do that :gssilence:
