I personally think it is Spark as it will as well as the other reviving djinn (quartz,dew) almost never revive anybody.

lucas12, sure, I can agree with that. Quartz, Dew, and Spark are very unreliable. Now, Tinder and Balm are great, especially during boss battles. Their reviving percentages are much better than the ones mentioned above.

i think its the water one that lowers defense. i pretty much always have that one on summon stage.

Whoa, be a little more specific. I want a name for this weak djinni. There are several Mercury ones that lower defense. Hail? Chill maybe?

Yes I must agree, the reviving djinn almost never help. I only count on them when I'm down to my last character with low HP and no water of life left. I don't see why any of you have a problem with the defense enhancing djinni Iron (at least i think thats what he does). Usually the djinn that boost my resistance and defense are the biggest life savers in the game when i'm fighting a boss while at a relatively low level.

I’ve always liked to level my characters up. I truly believe the heart and soul of Golden Sun is in doing cool battles and seeing impressive psynergy go off. Therefore, I’ve never really needed status-altering djinn that much. Iron, Kindle and all of their buddies have never helped me to the point that I found them useful for anything other than summoning.

Yes, seeing all the impressive psynergy is definitely a bonus...Have you noticed that only the most impressive psynergy attacks are performed only by bosses? I sure have...Like Cruel Ruin. It looked awesome (and very scary) the first time I saw it. I say it was scary because I knew that somethin that had that much graphics and art put into it would have to do a lot of damage. Turns out, my fear turned out to be true.

Cruel Ruin is Doom Dragon's attack right? Anyway, it looks like Doomsday going off. The whole attack sequence lasts at least a minute and a half.

Yes, that is Doom Dragon's attack...and I was in complete awe when I first saw it...beautiful...but yeah, it's a little shorter than a minute and a half, it just seems to take that long because it is so detailed and it would be like overkill if you ask me...and i've seen so many attacks destroy huge chunks of the world, wouldn't there be like a lot of giant craters in the game? (Judgement, Cruel Ruin, Catastrophe, etc.)

Good question... considering the number of times I use Judgement, the world should be in shreds... B) But then, you would be a little stuck...
