Title: Tsubasa Chronicle
Description: NEWS: OMG!!!! IT GOT LICENSED!!!!
SuicuneSol - October 8, 2005 05:36 AM (GMT)
I like it. I've seen the first two episodes. Animation is fun. Style is fun. I love the magic stuff. And the opening/ending theme. Except...
I want to see Episode three. And four. And five. But wait! There's something wrong! I cannot seem to get three! Or four! Or five! Baka-Updates is my source (thanks Marlin), but my torrential program doesn't seem to be getting anything from the Live-Evil- Anime***** group of Tsubasa fansubs. Is everyone else able to torrent those episodes, and actually get some bytes? I'm not. :bigsad:
God of the Black Flame: Canti - October 8, 2005 01:21 PM (GMT)
I downloaded them when they first came out, so I have them, and have watched them (I think I left off somewhere around episode 8... I should really watch the rest of what I have) If you definitely can't get them to torrent, I'd be able to send them to you over IM (It'd take a while, but it'd work)
Marlin ßeta - October 8, 2005 02:36 PM (GMT)
I could always reseed the ones that you're missing. I have all 24. Tell me which ones you're missing. B)
Great series. Maaya Sakamoto sings the ending credits. Believe it or not but she's the voice actor for Aeris in Advent Children as well the as the primary singer for all the female vocals in Escaflowne.
SuicuneSol - October 8, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
Oh, is that so? Maaya Sakamoto must be very popular. (I might request "Loop" for Aerie On Air.) I thought you might think TC is an okay anime, but apparently you think it's much better than that.
Thanks Canti. But IM wouldn't do the job. I could never complete the downloads without being cut off every half-hour. Torrenting is the best choice, I'm afraid. I've got episode 1, and have easy access to two. But three, and all the ones afterward, are the ones that are giving me a headache...

Oh?! I seem to be getting bytes for Episode 3! I have a download rate of 12kb. At last, after leaving my computer on all night to try and get some progress, I get some bytes now.

Personally, I think that Syaoran was very selfish in agreeing to let the time witch erase all of Sakura's memories of himself. In a way, I see that as her being robbed of something good. Personally, if I had been in Syaoran's shoes, I would have turned it around and requested my memories of Sakura be erased. It would have made things strange for sure, but I think it would be an interesting twist.
SuicuneSol - November 8, 2005 06:09 AM (GMT)
Konnichi-wa! Marlin-san, and maybe Canti-san, which subbed version of Tsubasa Chronicle do you watch? Is it of Dattebayo and Evil? If so, if it's not too much too ask, I would like to ask you to reseed episode 12 of the Dattebayo and Evil collection!
Oh, and to your response concerning the selfishness of Syaoran, I don't think he was being selfish. He was being smart using the time he had on him. Sakura was going to die if she didn't get at least one feather back. You also seem to have forgotten that Syaoran had no choice but to give up her memories. Yuuko says "you must give up the thing you cherish most." In Syaoran's case, he held SAKURA'S own memories as most precious to him. THAT is not selfish. Of course, since those were the most precious things to him, they were the ones that were taken. He had no choice.
Plus, if Syaoran gave his memories away, what would he have to give him the incentive to find Sakura's feathers? He'd be on a journey for feathers for someone he hardly knows. Sakura would die because Syaoran wouldn't look for her feathers.
Marlin ßeta - November 8, 2005 04:53 PM (GMT)
Yeah. I already mentioned that it would be strange for Syaoran to want to save somebody he doesn't know (what a strange plot that would be). But I still think that Syaoran should have compromised. Yuko said that Syaoran had to give up his RELATIONSHIP. Not that Sakura had to give up her memories. Perhaps Syaoran could have given up his memories of Sakura but kept his desire to save her. That seems logical. Then through the whole series he would be wondering why he wants to save her, knowing only that he HAS to save her. Other than that, I think that the cards were well played.
Anyway, I'm seeding episode 12. Though, I'm not sure why you needed somebody to do that. There were still 23 active seeds. Anyway, let me know when you're done.

Well, right now, I have 6 peers who are supposedly helping me out. But my download rate is so low. 2 Kb/s. Why is this happening?!!?
God of the Black Flame: Canti - November 9, 2005 12:41 AM (GMT)
I'm sorry, I have downloaded episode 12, but I don't actually have it on my computer. It's on a disc I lent to one of my friends. I'm sorry, Suicune, but I can't help... At least it's going at all though. I've had to wait days for one episode of some shows... it's annoying, but it usually works at some point.
SuicuneSol - December 5, 2005 01:28 AM (GMT)
Hm...
I am reading a list of the different characters from the different series' that appear in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. In the Hanshin Republic and every country after it, the list says Miyuki-chan from Wonderland is present (you all should know that most of the characters in Tsubasa are gathered from different anime series.) I have seen no such person in any of the episodes so far.
Who is Miyuki-chan? I even have the first two volumes of the manga. Still no Miyuki-chan. Anyone mind explaining to me?
Marlin ßeta - December 5, 2005 03:20 AM (GMT)

Here's a picture of Miyuki, but I couldn't find any pictures of her in the Tsubasa series either manga or anime. Only dead links. Man. All sites besides mine are terrible about that. :P
SuicuneSol - December 5, 2005 03:49 AM (GMT)
That's very weird. According to the lists that list the characters that appear in Tsubasa, she even appears in the Lake episode. You and I both know that there are no other characters that appear in that episode besides the glowing whale.
THE LIST

Tsubasa is a great series, I'm going to download them soon, complete series
I found a link, more important downloads right now though.
SuicuneSol - December 22, 2005 08:18 AM (GMT)
AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
This is the worst news I've recieved all YEAR!!!!! TSUBASA CHRONICLE HAS BEEN licensed by FUNimation I WAS AT EPISODE 22!!!!! ARG!!!!
...*sniff* ... *sniff* I can't believe this. I REALLY hope they do a good job at dubbing or whatever. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!!!
Urahara - December 23, 2005 06:16 AM (GMT)
Wow, some reaction. You realize that the episodes can still be found right? It will be more difficult, but it can be done. I know, I do it all the time, that's how I download movies and such that are licensed, such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which I'm putting on a dvd as I speak.
SuicuneSol - December 23, 2005 08:10 PM (GMT)
That's not the point of whether I can find them or not. I know exactly where I can find them. It's the fact that they are licensed. I'm a little tingly on the subject of downloading licensed stuff, and the fact that it's licensed now means I have to avoid downloading them.
I'm disappointed mainly because the site that ran the episodes stopped showing them. I didn't usually torrent them because it took too long.
Urahara - December 28, 2005 08:06 AM (GMT)
Oh, well, I was just letting you know incase you wanted to download them, I didn't know if you cared about them being licensed. Sorry.
shadowboy2 - January 19, 2006 01:49 PM (GMT)
Tsubasa ownes it's one of the best clamp mangas ever and it's good that the guys from the other clamp mangas is in tsubasa
God of the Black Flame: Canti - January 19, 2006 08:31 PM (GMT)
Well, uh, CLAMP tends to do that... There are alot of characters from their earlier mangas in their later ones. They like to... recycle. XP
Hitsugaya - January 22, 2006 09:50 PM (GMT)
well everyone i for one am really mad that tsubasa was liscensed because i know that the dubs are just gonna slaughter the voices. i say this because syaorin will be a high pitched kid and i just cant see him like that kurogane will either have a voice to high or to low for his character and who knows what will happen with fai. well that is my opinion.
