I'm into vampires so this anime caught my eye from the beggining. Well its also a manga. I've only read the manga though. Never seen the anime. Well it does seem pretty good. I want to know if anyone can compair the two for I dont know if I should waste my money buying the DVD box set. Well from what I've read in the manga this has a pretty good story (in my eyes anyway xD) Well the fighting in the manga is kinda awesome. Though I dont know how a vampire can regenerate from being blasted by a thousand bullets at once. o.o;;; Well yeah my knowledge of Hellsing isnt great but its something :...:

Dude this anime is made by Studio GONZO, same people who made last exile and Gad Guard. its really good. Alcurd is soooo cool! but ya the DVDs arent too expensive, and the soundtrack is god too.

Then it's settled o.o I shall get it. I wish I knew exactly how much it costed though. The only store that has it here.. well they never have the stuff I need when I want it. Rip-offs... Well yeah it does look pretty cool.

Hellsing...if you can't tell is one of my fave animes. Its really worth buying.

I've seen very little of Hellsing, like two episodes, but I like what I have seen. It looks like a cool series and Canti's ex seems to like it, she appears to have good tatse in anime, so I trust her judgment.

I saw one episode of Hellsing. I'm desperately hoping someone on DC has it next sememster. I've also read a decent amount of the manga. I'm convinced that Vincent Valentine is a complete rip off of Alucard.

Really? What do Vincent and Alucard have in common? Because I can't really see any similarities, except in their outfits.

They're both red cloaked gun-using vampires who transform into beasts/demons. I think Vincent looks a little too much like Alucard not to be a rip off. Then again, the guy who made hellsing was criticized as having made alucard too similar to Vash in appearance.

I've always wanted to watch Hellsing, it just looks so cool. Every time I go up to my grandpa's place because he has pay TV, it's never on Adult Swim. So I have to watch whatever else is on.

As for the similarity between suits, it seems Red is in?

Do they ever play hellsing on adult swim? I didn't think they had it. If they do, I wish they would have played that instead of scryed.

I liked scryed, but yeah, Hellsing would have been better. I've never seen Hellsing on adult swim though and I've been watching since I was in sixth grade, 4 years now.

I think the manga >>>>> the anime. Sure, the anime is good... But for some reason, I really prefer the manga. Integra in the anime is heartless and mean, the story line isn't very similar to the manga and Seras and Alucard don't seem to interact much. On the other hand, I'm quite looking forward to the next series - it sticks with the Nazi storyline.

I bought the first three episodes today at the mall. I haven't watched them yet, though.

EDIT: I watched them last night. I must say I like it, although it does seem a bit different from the manga. Hopefully I can find more discs soon.

Yeah...except Im pretty sure hellsing is older. At least when I borrowed the manga, I thought volume 1 said it was copyrighted in 1995 or 1996.

i like Hellsing, though Studio GONZO has made better, and by better i mean Last Exile, and Gad Guard, both of which i like more than Hellsing.

Hm? I'm quite lost but I think Hellsing is a good anime, Seras is cool. :P Alucard pwns all though.
