Title: What is the most annoying part of GS or GSTLA?
Fire Emblem Freak - July 23, 2005 08:18 PM (GMT)
I would like to know what you think is annoying or you don't like in GS or GS2. I think the part I hated most was in Venus Aerie when Menardi asked "Don't you care what happened to Sheba?" and Garet shook his head! I mean, what is with that guy! Garet is so dumb! I hate him! GRRRRR!!!!!!
P.S. I hope this is the right section...

The part I hated the most was when I was in a hurry to pass a place, let's say one of the lighthouses, and i knew where to go, but it was all the random encounters. After a while i just couldn't stand them. I'd take like 3 steps and *bam* random encounter, then another, etc. I hate random encounters that occur every 2 seconds. :upset:

*cough* On GS, I don't like the prologue through Vault. Mainly because I had to repeat it 4 times.
I don't like GS2's beginning, either.
Not only does Felix's cape change colors and the time where he had a green cape overlaps with the time where his cape turns blue (and I've noticed. Being a main character makes your eyes softer, and you speak much much less.), but it switches shoulders sometimes. All that annoys me.

It switches shoulders in GS too. Same goes for the sword and sheath that are strapped to Isaac's back.
Airs Rock used to annoy me a lot when I first started playing, then I got better at going through it so it doesn't annoy me nearly as much.

i hate it when they have long talking sesions and you have to get through it all and the whole time they are like "oh no! we have to leave right now" but they still talk for like 5 minutes even though you are in a hurry! #-_-
Kaede - July 25, 2005 01:42 AM (GMT)
In GS, when they talk forever, and then guess who calls? A family member. You gotta go somewhere, or do something. If you don't, you'll get in loadsa trouble. But can you save? Nooooooo. So you have to go through it all over again.
This also happened while I was fighting Fusion Dragon. That was reaaaal annoying, having to fight again.

There were two really annoying parts for me. The first was Air's Rock because I kept getting into random encounters with weak enemies. I finally just made one of my characters learn the avoid psynergy so it would stop. The music for Air's Rock is more than a little annoying as well. u_u
The second annoying part was Jupiter Lighthouse because it was just a gigantic maze. I got turned around in there more than in any other video game. That place took FOREVER for me to complete. Mars Lighthouse had a much better layout. B)
ZaberTheAlmighty - July 25, 2005 10:53 PM (GMT)
Agreed. B)
I didn't like Air's and Aqua rock. They annoyed the crud out of me... Jupiter Lighthouse, too, even though I always look forward to it.
I hadn't noticed Isaac's sword sheath switched. Now that annoys me. (off topic here, but Link being left handed bugs me)

The part that annoyed me most was when the first GS ended a mere 2 days after I started playing it....then GS2 took a good year and a half to come out :vein:

Huh? I've never heard of that. Can you clarify? :?:

For the record, Isaac doesn't wear a cape, he wears a long yellow scarf similar to that of Protoman.
Marlin ßeta - July 26, 2005 10:26 AM (GMT)
Um, yeah. I agree with you there. But what about the sword? Somebody said it changed.
But I always wondered why Felix got real-time cape rendering and Isaac didn't. :( The technology was certainly there.

The most annoying thing I can think of was that in The Lost Age you couldn't use some of the old psynergy very much if at all. I don't think, for example, that you could use cloak anywhere.
Come to think of it, though, what really annoyed me was that you could shoot fire from the fire in Kibombo, or maybe it was in Naribwe, with blaze, but it had no use. Although you could stop people in just the right position and the fire could perfectly match their frames.

That doesn't bother me; what really gets to me is that he's right handed when he's facing east(Game Boy versions), because the game creators were so lazy that they just made east-facing Link a perfect mirroring of west-facing Link.

Same here! Same here, for sure. That may not have been a comparatively annoying part for me, compared to the many frustrating 'random battles every two steps' occurrences, but still; I actually had the strategy guide out for Jupiter Lighthouse, and while I made it through most of the way swiftly enough, as soon as the first cutscene had finished, when I was supposed to hurry and save Isaac and his party, my map reading skills deserted me without warning. The number of times I saw Mia and Garet's ledge from all the wrong balconies, passed Alex in either direction, and returned to each part of the main hall downstairs, I must have run round in several circles of thirty or fourty laps each. I scanned the guide for what felt like the hundredth time... And saw the door I hadn't noticed before. Ten seconds later, the plot recommenced, exactly as it should have an hour or so ago.

I must try that. And I never noticed the sword changing either.
