This appeared recently on Adult Swim. It is an old world anime about a warrior named Mugen, a samurai named Jin, and and girl named Fuu. Fuu is in search of a samurai that smells of sunflowers, and after several events take place, she has forced Mugen and Jin to help her search for the Sunflower Samurai.

My favorite part of this series is when their is a fight that involves Mugen. Not only is his skill with a sword equal to that of a Samurai, but he has metal plates on the bottom of his wooden sandals, which he uses in his fights by breakdancing. It is definately a series worth watching, if you haven't already.

ive been watching this anime since it debuted 3 weeks ago, and i love it. Its from the same people who made cowboy bebop and Mugen even has the same voice as Spike. Jet is also in the series somwhere...but ya i like the series. I heard somewhere that it only had 6 episodes...

ah yes, i noticed that mugen sounded like spike, ive seen very little of that anime and i already love it, its very solid and done nicely, but the rap-thing knida makes me feel like im on acid

It's not rap, it's hip-hop. I like it... And Jet('s voice) was in the first episode, it was that lord dude who was in the carriage and had all those bodyguards that Jin killed. I love the show, I've been watching since it started, and I shall definitely continue.

same here...though i did hear a rumor that ther were only 12 episodes...

I've already watched the entire series on DivX fansubs. They're really hard to find online anymore because Samurai Champloo is licensed. I had to get them from a friend who had downloaded them last year or so. No, there are not 12 episodes. The series is a full 26. This show is totally awesome. I've already bought DVD 1 (the first four episodes) from Walmart. I'm looking for DVD 2 for a good price at the moment. B)

i think that bebop and champloo are both too short. they have great story lines and if they really want to they could streach out the series if they wanted to. ( but i would never question ther genius) i mean they could atleast make some movies or something! the cowboy bebop movies kick major butt!!!

p.s. i heard the peeps who make champloo and bebop make wolfs rain too... is that true? :wah?:

Now that's silly, how would you get members? And, I also believe that none of the shows should be longer. They're perfect how they are. Same thing I think about Furi Kuri, my 2nd favorite show. Even though it's only 6 episodes, it's great as it is. Good things come in small packages. And don't say I'm not a Bebop fan. I have the show, the movie, the soundtracks, the manga, a shirt, a pin... yeah.

Cross-dressers are fun though! There was this one guy at the anime convention I went to, and he was wearing a short leather miniskirt, and a leather backless top, and a hat, and make-up, and he was in the Anime Idol contest, and he sang really well! He was cool!

ya some times its cool to see some one dress up up like your fav anime character but sometimes....... its a little creepy!

Back on topic, Samurai Shamploo is awsome. I think that Jean is my favorite character, who's yours?

I recently finished Champloo(except episode 23, which wont play :cry: ). My favorite character would have to be Mugen, although Jin is more skilled, I like the way Mugen fights, as well as his personality.


does anybody know where I can find the ending theme(s) to champloo? I really want it.
