Title: Promotions
windseer1986 - June 22, 2005 06:21 AM (GMT)
Well, lets talk about the branching promotions. Which promotions you chose for certain characters and why.
I'll begin: ross, I made a pirate>>>berserker, because he is mainly an axeman, so I figured critical bonus> bows, and if I want a ranged attacker, Ill use a handaxe! Lute: I made her a MAGE KNIGHT just to defy every single person who says she sucks as a mage knight. And guess what? She takes out entire chapters worth of enemies!
Colm, I made a rogue because he is more useful than an assassin and is a better unit than rennac. Ewan: I made him a druid, because there are plenty of other units to make sages and only one other dark user, and he gets anima as a druid too.

i think that i will turn ross into a beserker too, mainly because warriors are kinda so-so and beserkers are just messed up powerful(but i wouldnt even bother with a hand axe, give him a swordreaver instead B) )
Im assuming that not many people have played it yet due to the lack of posts in this topic, i however, at an attempts to say something worthwhile (be careful, these usually fail) would like to know what classes there are on FESS that werent on the first one.... my nintendo power only tells so much :ninja:
im not even sure why i put that ninja there

http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/...ass_promote.gifNew classes:
Rogue-like a thief, only they do not need lockpicks to unlock doors and chests.
priest- a male cleric.
mage knight-equivalent to valkyrie from fe7. In this game, valks get light magic instead of anima.
Wyvern knight-like a wyvern lord without swords, however, they have an ability, pierce, which negates enemy defense.
Great Knight- a cross between a general and a paladin.
journeyman/recruit/pupil-can promote twice.
summoner- a dark magic/staff user who can call up a "phantom"- a soldier wielding an axe that dies if an enemy hits him.

you forgot a Necromancer, Lyon.
and as for Pupil, Recruits and Journeymen; Ewan, Amelia, and Ross, they can promote into the same class instead of their natural promotions
instead of making Ewan a mage or Shaman, you'll have the choice of pupil again once you beat both stories. and from that he can go to a sage or pupil, as a pupil again he'll have even stats and can use all forms of magic except stavces. and Amelia thing goes like that too, she's like a lance weilding swordmaster. Ross, I haven't tried out yet...
