Snipe104 - April 19, 2005 01:23 AM (GMT)
Does anyone follow the series of Full Metal Alchemist?
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 20, 2005 01:14 AM (GMT)
YES!!!! *holds up the t-shirt he's wearing at the moment, his collectors tin with DVDs vol. 1 and 2, and the Original Soundtrack vol. 1* I'm gonna start getting the manga too. And I wanna get those little figurins they sell at Borders for $8. too bad I don't have a spare $8.
Snipe104 - April 20, 2005 01:40 AM (GMT)
Does Borders have the series in English? Or anywhere?
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 20, 2005 01:46 AM (GMT)
DVDs? No idea. I get mine from FYE. But they should have the manga soon in English. I saw an ad in my FMA vol 2 booklet.
Marlin ßeta - April 20, 2005 01:52 AM (GMT)
I'm a huge fan of FMA. I plan on getting the DVDs as they come out here in America. The movie is going to be coming out in Japan this summer (July I think).
I've already watched the entire series in Divx and it's awesome.
Snipe104 - April 20, 2005 02:24 AM (GMT)
I'm watching it weekly on Adult Swim.
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 20, 2005 02:27 AM (GMT)
As am I. I could download it, but I can't be bothered. I have enough stuff I have to watch on my computer already. I'm fine with the weekly on AS. I love my DVDs... the tin is so shiny... *huggles tin* yay soundtrack!! *drowns in FMA shirt* I love gloating about my FMA stuff. ^_^ And about the Green Day concert I went to on Saturday. But that is not for this topic.
craft user - April 20, 2005 03:26 AM (GMT)
i love this show soo much but that last one was heart braking :( "snif"
but shouldnt it end soon??
and are they going to show that new May line up?? it looks great, if anybody knows what the shows there showing (cus i do)
Snipe104 - April 20, 2005 10:16 AM (GMT)
I think there is about 52 episodes of it. Can't wait for Saturday!
Marlin ßeta - April 20, 2005 12:52 PM (GMT)
There are actually 51 episodes. I'm not sure why, though. A double season SHOULD be 52 episodes. Perhaps the 52nd episode will be the movie! ^_^
craft user - April 20, 2005 02:19 PM (GMT)
in my new type that talked about all the episodes they cut out (the director not AS) it was about when al and ed where traing on an island for a long time and that would have taken up about 3 more episodes u_u but it would explain y there so good at alcamy so young.
God of the Black Flame: Canti - April 21, 2005 08:07 PM (GMT)
Aww... why'd they cut em out? What issue is that? I have some Newtype... Oh, wait, you know, I never did finish reading the last one I got, and I stopped in the middle of the big FMA article. I should go read that...
And I wish Al would stop being a 'tard. XP I have no sympathy for the way he's acting currently. For his condition, sure. Not for his being such a baby about that "Oh my God, did I ever exist?!?! " thing. :/
craft user - April 22, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
but its realy sad  and i think they couldent have the other episodes because they had to have a surten amount but there trainer was a lady i think >.<
God of the Black Flame: Canti - May 1, 2005 04:29 AM (GMT)

God of the Black Flame: Canti - May 1, 2005 03:36 PM (GMT)
I don't like scar much. I suppose by now most people who care have seen what happened, yes? I'm still all sad-like....
Marlin ßeta - May 1, 2005 04:20 PM (GMT)
What episode was it? I only watch Futurama on Adult Swim. B) Or rather, I did. I'm not at college anymore so no more cable for me. :(
Snipe104 - May 1, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
Noooooooo, I don't believe it. How could they kill him. I thought of him as comedic relief and and a serious person when need be. I believe it was something like episode 24.
craft user - May 2, 2005 01:51 AM (GMT)
 why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he was the coolist  im going to die....................... i wonder what al and eds reation will be??
Wind - May 2, 2005 02:20 AM (GMT)
thats exactly what i told canti last night...
God of the Black Flame: Canti - May 2, 2005 07:05 PM (GMT)
It was episode 25, Words of Farewell. Btw, there's only one more episode left on Adult Swim, then they're changing the schedule. Who knows when they'll show the rest of the series. But I can wait. I'm too used to all the voices to change to the Japanese version. But I guess this will give the DVDs a chance to catch up to the show. Cuz my girlfriend has only seen the first 8 episodes, because that's all I have on DVD, and she wanted to start watching way after the series had started. I wonder if they'll have a new tin when the room in the first one runs out...
craft user - May 5, 2005 12:41 AM (GMT)
thats what my other friend is saying that it will end '_' im going to look at AS scedual.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! what tards!!!!!!! then thay put on that other moive :/ this last episod of GitS better be its last!!! better not pull a "yu yu" if anyone falows
Snipe104 - May 5, 2005 01:55 PM (GMT)
I hate it when they pull schedule changes in adult swim. It messes up the times I record at.
Atomsk - June 17, 2005 06:12 PM (GMT)
well ther is a FMA movie coming out, that picks up where the first series ended, and a second season too, goes to episode 51. starting at like 26 or 27 what ever the last ep in the first season was.
God of the Black Flame: Canti - June 17, 2005 07:20 PM (GMT)
We know. And the second season picks up with episode 27.
Ashes_Of_Fire - July 16, 2005 05:48 AM (GMT)
There's a FMA game on the internet.
I've played through it several times. Anyone want the link?
God of the Black Flame: Canti - July 16, 2005 07:21 AM (GMT)
I'll take it! Er... is it that Adult Swim game where you're Roy Mustange and you have to keep chimeras away by blasting them with fire?
Kaede - July 25, 2005 01:10 AM (GMT)
This is one of my ALL TIME favourite anime's. It's so great. I can't wait for the movie!! It'll just be so brilliant, considering it's after the series ended. Do you lot read the manga? That's great, too! Especially considering the different story line. I'm reading that right now, but I'm on my last few chapters. That's meant to be going on for another few more years, the manga. Such brilliantness.
But omg >.> *kills American dubbing* Daaaaamn I hate dubbing. If someone is new to it, d/l the subbed version! The dubbed is just.. *Shudders*
windseer1986 - September 27, 2005 05:39 AM (GMT)
I am being introduced to this series now. I have seen a few episodes on adult swim, and my roommates have the entire series on their computer. From what I have seen of it, I think it is very good. I like the basic story, and the idea of balance.
Urahara - December 22, 2005 12:18 AM (GMT)
Fullmetal Alchemist is a great series, I am going to download the complete series, subbed, not dubbed. Until then, I will watch it on Adult Swim.
It's a great series, definitely in my top 5.
Kaede - December 22, 2005 12:34 AM (GMT)
Urahara - December 22, 2005 05:37 AM (GMT)
My favorite character is probably Roy, he's so cool. Fire
Who's your favorite(s)?
Kaede - December 22, 2005 02:55 PM (GMT)
The characters in this show are all just so wonderful. So well developed, you can't not love them. Ed is brilliant, so is Roy, Al is quite cool (his voice was quite annoying in the begining, but I got used to it ), Hughes was cool *sniffle* Hawkeye was a good character, as was Izumi. Erm... There's probably more, I just haven't seen them in so long. Some of the homunculi developed greatly, too. My favourite probably being Envy, but Lust came a long way.
Seen the movie?
Urahara - December 23, 2005 06:12 AM (GMT)
No, I have a torrent for it though, I will probably download it after Christmas some time, right now I'm using the computer to make my family members movies and cds for Christmas. I'm currently putting Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire onto a dvd for myself though. I love Harry Potter almost as much as Naruto, It's almost done creating disk 2.
Fullmetal is better than Harry Potter anyday though so stay on topic.
Phew... I almost got off topic.
Kaede - December 28, 2005 02:45 PM (GMT)
*Cough*Yes-Harry-Potter-is-cool-but-FMA-is-better*cough*
I've seen about 2/3 of it... The subtitles messed up after that point :bigsad: If you've got the torrent with lots and lots of .rar files, you should d/l another

Ah, you mean the Kickass anime subs? I'm afraid you need to download a few codec paks for the subtitles to work. It took me a long time to get it all to work out. I'm pretty sure the codecs/programs you need are FFdshow, Haali's media splitter and a decent player. VLC is what I recommend.
I think you might be able to download the CCCP pack as well :P
Go FMA! '-_-
Edit:

Lemme give you a piece of advice!
Don't download the movie... yet! The quality sucks so bad (it's been recorded with a camera). Wait until a subbing group has gotten a hold of the DVD, and before you know it it'll be available as a fansubbed movie thingy. Check out
www.Baka-Updates.com every once in a while as well. You'll find the movie there eventually.
Kaede - December 31, 2005 12:51 AM (GMT)
Thankyou for your advice  I already have VLC and I've also gotten a version of the film that works perfectly fine. Only let-down is that I have to watch it on the computer as the file wont play on my DVD player  Beggars can't be choosers, though  Much rather have some FMA than no FMA at all!
Also, to both Isaac and Urahara, both the ones I downloaded can't be cam-jobs :wah?: they're practically perfect. Has to be a DVD-rip.
Ashes_Of_Fire - January 7, 2006 12:51 AM (GMT)
They've started to play the whole series here in Aus, on AS. My friend and grandpa? are taping it for me, I watched the first 2 episodes, so far it's real awesome, very 'explanatory' ? I figurted alot of things out after Edward explained about how they got there metal parts from trying to revive there mother.
So it's awesome I say.
Kaede - January 8, 2006 01:14 AM (GMT)
Hmm, the first 15 or so episodes aren't that great, but the show becomes impecably good.
Ashes_Of_Fire - January 8, 2006 01:29 AM (GMT)
Then if I think it's this good so far, then it must Pwn after ep. 15 xD
But once again, the creating artist of Edward goes for a red jacket.
