Everything seems to be getting really quiet lately. I can imagine why. School is wrapping up and I bet a lot of people need to study. There hasn’t been much in the way of news lately. Camelot still isn’t talking about its newest game development. The Aerie on Air seems to be losing listeners. Next year I’ll make sure I can get a good time slot for the show. The Roc’s Nest is my greatest indication that everything Golden Sun is losing steam lately. I’m hoping to catch the release of the next set of Fire Emblem games in order to help the site grow. I still haven’t been working on anything that I promised. I feel like a hypocrite now. All I can say now is that I’m going to do my best to crack down during the summer and get things done. My own classes will be wrapping up within the month so hopefully nobody will have to wait very long for some new updates.

That is probably one of the most depressing new posts I've seen on this site.

Ouch..... I hate to admit it, but I will be gone most of the summer, or at least right now. I would only be able to post on the weekends. I listen to the show, not live, but I listen to it. A hypocrite is basicly what you describe Suicine. A person who believes in one thing and does the oposite.

I don't see a reason to delete posts or topics, for that will take away from the history of the Nest. Hopefully fire emblem will bring back some people and get some new ones.

My projects for the summer are to get the Lost Age walkthrough from ikillkenny formatted. I also need to finish my fanfic. I'm so close, but I just don't have the time right now because finals are in three weeks. After that, I'll be back home on my slow internet. >.<

I can't really do that much about Fire Emblem at the moment. I need a way to attract writers to Aerie of the Roc so things can get started fresh again.

Happily, E3 and Episode III are just around the corner. I'll be out of school for both so I can keep updated on new happenings. B)

I think I'm gonna try to get Fire Emblem so I can be able to participate in that section of the forum. I sure don't want to see this place die, and if all of it that I understand (Golden Sun) dies, that'd be the same for me.

yeah, the gs community is kind of falling apart, isn't it? i'm a staffer at elemental temple, which stopped being pure golden sun site about a year ago :cry:

Yeah. I've decided that when the site starts covering content on FE: The Sacred Stones it's going to be a part of Marlin Gaming. I'd like to keep Aerie of the Roc pure GS.

But did everyone see the April Fool's joke about GS III? It was pretty good. B)



The title is "Golden Sun: Alex's Revenge," which is sort of interesting because the sub-title of my fanfic is "Alex's Revenge." But the rest of the article that this picture is pasted to is a report about astronomy. :D

Well, I haven't been the best member under the sun, but I believe that's largely because as you said, everything GS is losing steam. Unless we get a DS or GC version soon, or at least some hard news of one, there is only so much we can debate and discuss about the other two.

I run a forum as well. Two of them, and I know how hard it is to recover from a slump. I don't know what I can do, but I can try to help...*shrugs*

Hmmm. All of the contests I've ever hosted have ended in failure. I think the main reason for that is because I can't come up with very good prizes. :(

Anyway, I'm glad everyone likes the new forum descriptions. I'm still working out something for the Fire Emblem and Misc sections.

Harry Potter? Are there really that many visitors who like Harry Potter? I'm an extremely mild fan at best. I know it's pretty big, but do we have that many members who like it?

Lastly, as far as the skin goes, I updated it less than four months ago. I usually like to have a skin last eight months before updating. B)

I like Harry Potter, but I think making a section for it is utterly crude. Maybe someone could make a topic in the off topic section if they thought it was worth discussing, but I wouldn't recommend it.

definitely not a new section for it. It would be too out of place.
I always thought that the DS would have some crazy game released by now that would become a big hit, but so far there hasn't been one. Still, I think its inevitable that one game is going to 'define' the DS, kind of like oot and goldeneye for the n64, or halo for the xbox. If you can catch that game, and make a new section for it quickly, then we could get a lot of new members.

It seems almost overnight. Like all of a sudden a bunch of people came back, and people started posting a lot more. My guess is that the school year is getting towards its end, and people are not quite as busy as before. As long as people keep responding to each other, the activeness of the forum should continue to go up as more people join in. which is why I have been posting every place possible ;)

A while ago I saw an article on a weird [and so far, Japan only] game called ElectroPlankton. That one might be worth keeping an eye on, it looks pretty quirky and it seems to use the DS features [touch screen etc] really well.
