When your on the boat leaving Lemuria, y'know how everyone wants to know how old Piers is? If you remember, Sheba was the one who first asked, and as an introduction to her question she said, "I have something important to ask you," to paraphrase. I suspect that at this point Sheba is developing a crush on Piers. If you had a crush on someone who could be well over 100 years old for all you know, wouldn't you want to know how old they actually were? Do you agree or disagree with my theory?

like for example when you meet karst at madra sheba won't stop bothering jenna about her and issac...."issac and you have an issue, right?...so...can't you, you know, do something?"-sheba... then jenna gets all angry and says something about missunderstanding and then the topic follows and jenna says "what about garet and the others?"-jenna "don't you mean issac and the others?"-sheba and then jenna says "...stupid sheba..."and gets all dissed.....

and on the first game near the beggining where jenna says something about issac lol...

i can understand why sheba would be attracted to piers.

Ok, the OBVIOUS couple in this game is Kraden and that wolf guy, I mean, its obvious from some of the quotes. I'm not sure of the exact wording, but I think it was something like this:
Kraden:"OMG LIEK T3H WOLF-GUY U ARE T3H HAWT!!!!!1"
Wolf-guy:"Is that the Shaman's rod in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

once again, those might not be the exact quotes, but I think you see what I mean.

I don't think people are "so obsessed"... As far as the age, we don't know how old Piers is, and the potential age difference is why she asked him his age in the first place. One way or another, I'm just saying I think Sheba has a crush.

I think they were just trying to add a humor scene where piers gets mad because everyone wants to know his age. And people have been posting stuff like this a lot on gamefaqs, like OMG WHO LIKES WHO so there are some people who are obsessed with it... o_O

I think it's not a great plan to put everyone in couples. It just seems stupid. Actually, I did it before in my mind :( , but it was all really dumb. I kinda almost even wish I hadn't. There are only very few that you can create with any logical basis anyway.

Its really pointless. I especially hate how in fire emblem, at the end a lot of the characters will end up marrying each other if they got an a rank support between them. Its like, yeah, theres nobody but the main characters, definitely cant have any couples where one person isn't a super warrior legend or something...its like saying none of these people knew anyone else before the game takes place, then they talk to someone a few times and BAm! they gotta get married.
Not to say all video game character couples are bad. Lufia did an ok job with maxim/selan, but thats about all I can think of.

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense to pair them all off. They all know plenty of other people, and they meet plenty more people on their quest.

Having said that, the people they meet on their quest include each other. Piers seemed to really admire Sheba, Jenna, Felix and Kraden, the first people to create a good impression after he left Lemuria, and by his tone, possibly more heroic and dynamic than the company he was used to on that small, quiet island where people thought life was long and boring. Piers might well fall for one of the heroines. Sheba, meanwhile, could have had a crush on him. Even if asking his age like that was just curious teasing, that by no means rules out possibility that either of them might develop a crush, even if that might happen years later. Sheba joined the quest to gain the freedom to explore the world, trying to find her original home, while Piers was the first Lemurian youth in a long time to be given the freedom to leave Lemuria and explore. (Plus, he was freed from jail before that quite got started.) I can imagine them both taking well to that ship after the closed lives must have they led until then. If everyone kept in touch after the quest, it seems relatively likely to me that those two might end up together when they're older. (At least, when Sheba's older.)

This doesn't mean, of course, that I'd 'put everyone in couples'. I can't see Mia being very likely to get together with any of the other heroes (and before anyone asks, not with Alex either!); same for Isaac, Felix, Ivan... most of them, actually. I always thought that Ivan in particular, who was so eager to move in with his sister and get to know his original home town Contigo, would end up with a native Contigo gal when he got older.

Yes. I do think so. And Piers is like 500 years old...Or at least that's what I heard. Actually, I'm not really sure if she has a crush on him, I always thought ivan and sheba belonged together, both being 15, being wind adepts,, midgets, and all.

Pier's age isn't given in the game; if anyone thinks he's 500, it's purely speculation. Besides, when it is hinted in the game that King Hydros is about 1000, and Piers is a youth who doesn't look half the King's age, I wouldn't place Piers outside the 50 to 200 range myself. That all seems a little irrelevant, though, when it's a fact that he looks about the same age as Sheba; the two Lemurian children playing on the island might well have seen a few decades each, but they're clearly still children all the same. Age isn't entirely numerical.

I wouldn't have thought Ivan and Sheba would get together. He's a serious, grown up person; he'd probably think her too childish. He'd want to catch up with his older sister, tell his adoptive parents of the quest's success, get Hama to help plan more trade routes, that sort of thing. Sheba didn't seem happy about not knowing where she comes from, even after Kraden comforted her, and I doubt she'd feel truly settled afterwards either; she had an adventurous spirit, and got along well with the other adventurers. She didn't talk much with Ivan in the game, and I can't imagine them being well matched enough to even become very close friends. The fact that they're both Jupiter Adepts seems a bit irrelevant - wouldn't the character's feelings have more to do with looks and/or personality? And how does being younger & shorter than the others make them midgets?

I never enter into these discussions for the singular reason that they are almost always never well thought out. Rozzlynn was able to bring this home by pointing out all of the factors that are required for a good relationship. These sorts of details are almost always never brought out into the open on these kinds of games. Even dating sims rarely strike home in such a human way (they're just video games). Sure, sometimes it's fun to speculate. But most of the time everyone just states their opinions and leaves. Boring. u_u

But really, these kinds of topics should be addressed by writing fanfiction and just putting your ideas into a story instead of picking apart relationships that were never well-developed in the first place.

People do write fanfiction too. But that doesn't necessarily mean you get a discussion of the ideas with other forum members. Communication rather than being alone is the point, isn't it? I'd have liked to talk about Sheba and Piers here; I'm still working my way through everyone else's fics, and while discussing them is better, it takes a long, long time and it's hard to read many, while in my own fic, I haven't heard many people's voices talking about anything. :(
