Title: PLEASE--Help in Gowanda (right spelling?) Cliffs
gsla00 - January 23, 2005 05:05 PM (GMT)
In the Gowanda Cliffs, in one the walkthroughs I look at, it says there is a tightrope I have to walk over, I DON'T SEE IT ANYWHERE, I looked EVERYWHERE.
Help!

If I remember correctly, go south along the ridge. But give me a second to check.
Edit: A few minutes later: My brother deleted my game. ¬_¬ Oh, he's getting the staple gun....
If you tried going south along the ridge, just follow the edge until you see the rope. I assure you, it's there.

jump the rocks to the left

The tightrope stretches over a large river. Head west all the way, and a little north. The cliffs also confused me, but I figured it out. Remember that jumping over places is very significant.

You don't need to lash the big rope because it's already lashed.

Then you have to do something else before crossing the river. Now I can't remember exactly what you were supposed to do.. but I think you had to go to some city that had been attacked by the kimbobos.

Have you done these?
--Fought Briggs and defeated him at Alhafra.
--Attended the interrogation of Piers.
--Found that Piers has traveled to Gondowan to recover his black orb.
--Found that Madra has been ransacked and pilfered by the Kibombo people after it was ransacked and pilfered before by Briggs and his pirates.

the very last explination is that theres a problem with ur game but that a 1 in a trillion chances...
the_isaac - January 27, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)
are you sure? because I'm pretty sure games don't screw up like that. It's never happened to me. and I'm also pretty sure the golden sun: the lost age hasn't been sold one trillion copies.

Well, in theory, anything with a physical form can get screwed up. It might be more like a 1/1,000,000^1,000,000 chance, but even if one copy were made, no matter how small the chance of it being messed up, it's always possible that that one copy will have a bug. Just because on average one in so many times something will happen, doesn't mean that it can only happen after that many instances of the scenario in which it can happen. I imagine you know all this anyway, but when you imply that you might not know something that I do (especially if it's connectable to math or science), I feel the need to lecture you on it.
