i think that the gs series is the best on a hand held but there are other rpgs that are better

Play more RPGs! GS is a good RPG, but there are better ones. Breath of Fire is pretty good. FF1&FF2 are great.

well i only got ff1-2 yesterday so i don't know how good it is yet but i have never played breath of fire. my friend has it and hates it so i just decided not to get it

My handheld RPGs: Breath of Fire 1&2, GS, GS:TLA, Sword of Mana, Fire Emblem, Lunar, Some Pokemon games, and Shadow Gate.

Console RPGs: FFVII, FFVIII, FFX, FFX-2, Azure Dreams, Jade Cacoon, Brave Fencer Musashi, Kingdom Hearts, and some others I can't remember.

And if your friend doesn't like Breath of Fire, he doesn't like real RPGs. Its one of my faves. Its an oldie, but still great.

Don't forget to add KH: COM and FF1 & FF2: Dawn of Souls to your Hanheld list Brave.

Yeah, but I got those after I posted. People need to play way more games before they say crap like "to the best rpg game ever Gs". GS is good, but not that good. COM kicks GS's @$$.

Dark, you are a cool kid who thinks.....you don't find many people like that here. If GS was the only RPG you've ever played, then yes it probably is the best game to you.

you guys think to much about it. you are the kind of people that want the perfect game and think everything that isn't perfect sucks. golden sun and the lost age are great rpgs not the best but well in contest at the top 20

Breath of fire IV ruled while it lived and I think BOF I & II suck horribly

bof 1 didn't suck, it was a classic. bof 2 was stupid, all the characters had useless abilities, you didn;t have enough magic points and there was no good way of recovering them, and the skills/spells sucked.plus the translation was crappy, at least on the gba version -_-

RPG eh?... Hmm... RPG's that I enjoyed was mostly the Final Fantasy series. Chrono Trigger was pretty cool. It's worth playin'. I've never played GS. Honestly I haven't even heard of it until reading these posts. Must be pretty decent if people are talking about it.

Well it is very good considering it was handheld. The main thing that made it seem so great at first was the graphics and sound unfortunately. I still like to play it occasionally.

I like Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars. I also like Chrono Trigger along with Earthbound.

...some rpg games are real classics...like pokemon games....Hey, some ppl like them,and other hate 'em...Actually its the same for every game...no game is the "perfect game" or the "best game game ever made" because people have different tastes...

How can people be leaving out Tales of Symphonia? That, Chrono Trigger, FF series, and GS are all fantastic. I also like Sword of Mana, but I think that game could have a slightly better ending.
