First you will need to open your browser and type in the url http://www.imageshack.us/index.php (or just click on the link).

1. The first page you are present with is this page.

2. First click on the browse button.

3. And you should get a popup window with a file browser like this.

4. Using the up folder button and the pull down navagation to find your picture file.

5. Select the photo you wish to up load and click the open button.

6. You will now see the path for the picture you selected in the text box next to the browse button. Now click on the host it! button.

7. Give a minute for the upload to occur and you will be presented with the success page.

8. If you will notice the website has generated the proper code for you to copy and paste into you posts to show your pictures to all the world.

9. Just insert the code like this and you end up with a post like this.

I see a "start upload" button, but no "host" button. When I hit the "start upload" button I get images that I can link to, but not the full code you displayed in step 7. Is this a change to the site since you posted the directions?

Yes, the site has changed a little....use the "start upload" button.


Go to "my images".........

Click on the "i" icon near the picture you want to post:

Un-check the "include details box" and copy the full size for forums link:
