Title: My New V2.
Panda man - November 20, 2009 06:35 PM (GMT)

Yep. :)
Edit: I plan on adding a Black Benchmark Single Slider Trigger, and a CP Shorty Reg.

I haven't been keeping up with new stuff, so this may be a dumb question...but what is a V2? That looks like a black '03 or Superstock-bodied Sniper.

That'll look good all black'd out.

Their version? It sure looks like they bought up a bunch of Pro-Stocks and slapped some non-WGP pump kit on it. Who's kit is that, and is there anything else different about them?
Not slamming your gun...just curious if they did anything.

Looks like a CCM kit, but not. BTW, I would take an Ergo reg over a CP. I just like the Ergo's.

Check It Products purchased a good deal of the products sitting in the West Coast warehouse for JT/WGP when they closed it down. They spent the last year or so finishing the raw parts, fabricating what was missing, and then assembling and testing them.
Most of the bodies were already completed, so the markers resemble what WGP was putting out. There are a few notable differences, though. They use dual pump rod assemblies like CCM's, so you have less twisting. The pump handles are cut and the grooves are filled in with large o-rings for a little more grip. The ball detents are rebuildable and can be adjusted for a better fit (like the Shocktech versions). The bodies were drilled for eyes, so they fabricated a piece to cover them (Check It Eye Patch). I believe they also made their own valve assembly, cup seal, and spring set.
It's probably one of the best values in pump right now. A used marker would be cheaper, but that's true for just about every marker available. $180 retail for a Sniper with an externally adjustable reg, CCM style pump, and everything else is a steal. If they didn't purchase the WGP items for pennies on the dollar (they literally paid by the pound), there would be no way that they could make this marker from scratch and sell it this cheap.
The next few markers they're working on should be pretty trick, but will come at a higher cost.

^exactly, I just wish they would of came with Single Triggers, and possibly a color match on the Ergo..
yellowpumpguy - November 21, 2009 01:06 AM (GMT)
Wow. I did not know all of that. That's awesome.
Hard8Mike - November 21, 2009 01:42 AM (GMT)
The V2 Classic is the base model, so it probably wasn't worth the cost of annodizing regs when they already had a bunch of nickel plated ones (which match the frame and bottomline adapter).
Slider frames might be added later. I know they're working on assembling them. I'm not sure if those are for the current V2's (Mini and Classic) or the next couple of lines. There are also plans for a single hinge frame and auto-trigger setup, but I don't think those will be released for a while.

I'd be on board, BUT they ripped CCM's style of pump handle and dual guides.
More pumps on the market are better I guess.

Yeah, check it! must of saw a golden opportunity and took it, I'm looking at Slider frames going for $40 and probably will bite at it in the next few days... and The Torpedo on/off ASA i have, I really don't like, its a nice Drop but thats it the ASA part i don't like.
I would Really like to make two V2's and have one Stock Class Style, and paint it Dust White, and have both of them Lasered names. Snake Eyes and the other Storm Shadow
