Title: Top 3 Favorite Music Artists?

2SIC4U - November 19, 2009 03:40 AM (GMT)
Hey guys, this thread is for yall to share 3 of your current favorite music artists (whether is be a single person or a band) and share a favorite song or 2 by them. This can range from rap->country->metal->classical->etc.

Mine (I'm more of a modern day metal/hardcore fan):
1. A Day To Remember
- The Downfall of Us All

2. August Burns Red
- Composure
- Truth of a Liar

3. Thick As Blood
- Raising Hell

nahthan - November 19, 2009 03:49 AM (GMT)
Nas ("Rewind", "Hip Hop is Dead"); Brand New ("Welcome To Bangkok", "Play Crack the Sky); and Dropkick Murphys ("Heroes From Our Past", "Citizen CIA"), in no particular order.

Murf ... TFK really? good band for sure just unexpected i guess ... don't meet a lot of people that listen to them i guess.

Murf the Elder - November 19, 2009 02:22 PM (GMT)
Oh yeah...the best concert I ever went to was TFK with Decyfer Down and Skillet. It was awesome.

turbo chicken - November 19, 2009 04:05 PM (GMT)
i've never been to a "bad" concert where a mainstream christian band was involved...

Skillet is awesome live
Pillar is awesome live even if at the beginning of the concert you could tell that the sound guy wasn't a person that worked with the band ... he was quickly replaced with a more competent person
and the few other's i've seen were pretty rocckin too ... i only mention pillar and skillet cause that was the last concert i went to... it was a teen lock in at six flags i felt like the old dude at a rock concert for a bit

Ill guess ill add my #1 band/artist Frédéric Chopin then #2 metallica ... then everything else inbetween is #3

the first 2 i can listen to over and over and over and over

Murf the Elder - November 19, 2009 04:26 PM (GMT)
Audio Adrenaline put on some awesome shows before they retired a few years back.

The Newsboys are a LOT of fun to see live.

I was disappointed in Relient K, though. They seem like they'd be cool in concert, but they didn't do much.

D~ - November 19, 2009 04:38 PM (GMT)

Empire - Im Your Hitman

Miike Snow - Animal

Birdman - Money To Blow

Thrice - Digital Sea

Sorry, I got a little carried away.........there are just so many. This is just what I pulled off my phone. Im obsessed with music.

In no particular order:

-Brother Ali
(anything from his newest album "US" But check out "Tight Rope" as soon as you can. )

-Led Zep
(take your pick here, all good.)

-Atmosphere
(possibly best CD ever = "God Loves Ugly")

Check them out if you get a chance. Brother Ali was good when he started, but he is just now getting the swing of his style. Both Atmosphere and Brother Ali are under the Rhymesayers Entertainment label (Started and owned by Slug (the rapper from Atmosphere)) There are lots of good Hip-hop artists under RSE.

i have The Devil Wears Prada and Norma Jean were utter CRAP

Prada just sucks and Norma jean used to be very very very good, then the new singer came in a ruined it.

by far the two worst live shows iv ever had to endure, im mean Cobra Starship put on a better show, how sad is that

and LostProphets are awesome

Those aren't exactly "mainstream".

Mikey, HU...really? I've never heard ANYbody admit to liking them. I could never figure out how they were getting radio play.

Slinky - November 20, 2009 04:20 AM (GMT)
uhhh they kinda are, so is Underoath( who also sucks now).

i think the best show iv been to was ether Thursday with HeavyHeavyLowLow and Fear Before. or Earth Crisis

nahthan - November 20, 2009 04:26 AM (GMT)
Oh earth crisis.

I wouldn't mind Thursday if they didn't decry the military at every chance they get. They do have some nice songs, though.

huh??

and earth crisis was pretty darn epic, but they spent to much time talking about how wrong it was to eat meat and preached about being straight edge for about half and hour

nahthan - November 20, 2009 05:10 AM (GMT)
Among other things Thursday's produced, you may want to take a look at the song "Friends in the Armed Forces."
"There's a purple heart on the stars and stripes tonight / It's pinned to the chest of the latest liar ...You say you're defending me / I'm untying yellow ribbons / On every single tree I see..." (Sauce)

Slinky - November 20, 2009 05:54 AM (GMT)
i dont really think the song is ment to disrespect the soldiers in anyway i think its more adressing those that sent them to war and the strain on the friendships caused by war. but thats just my opinion

live they are amazing iv seen them twice and hopefully see them again in dec.

anyways alot of bands have said things about the military I.E Greenday, Rage, SOAD
