Title: Ooohs And Ahhhs
Description: And an OUCH

So last saturday I hit the field With sir nipple and plans of playing with midnight when we arrived. I will let midnight tell his story as I am not 100 percent of its happenings, he has a much better account of what happened.
So After a while I hit the field with sir nipple(dominick) as a 1v1 game, he was shooting his minty splatty and I was rocking a one shot modded PGP. Well as these games usually go the game was very quick, Abormally we swapped field ends at least once. Normally neither party makes it across the fifty once. In the midst of trading shots I make a sprint for a better bunker crossing the fifty for the third time........well I almost made it. Like a freaking ninja Dom popped out as I was about to the fifty and hit my in the calf, mid run. So as we are getting ready to walk of the field, We agree on a follow up 1v1.
I probably have about ten more rounds and i'm definitly past my half way point on my air(12 gr.). I take the close end of the field and he takes the opposing side. So the game starts and its a dead run directly at each other, we are about 30 feet out and both of us cut to our respective lefts. At this point I have heard a few people close by the nets, not paying attention to them though. Well dom and I circle once while fighting at the fifty, then a second time still exchanging rounds, A third time still ducking shots and returning fire. Now he starts swinging wide so I take up position until he gets superior ground then I bolt right after making him duck a round. And wouldnt cha know it we cross the fifty for the fourth time, I had a bunker in my way so I jump it doubting that ill make it. Success My first bunker jump but I had a bad landing, even though I was on my feet my knees felt weird. Now the voices are getting louder and I look over my shoulder and see a wall of people cheering. I stick my hand in my pocket and find only a few amount of shots left. At this point we are almost parallel at the fifty and he is changing air or reloading. I fire a round and go to reload only to find a single round left.
SO for the fifth time I cross the fifty in a single game. I am holding the sheridan by its barrel with the muzzle up so I dont lose my last round. About 20 foot out Dom sees me coming and fires a panic round only to have it sail right over my shoulder, As I make an arc to bunker him and cross the fifty for time number six I have him dead to rights and fire my last round.
Hands go up, elation washes over me then a rush of adrenaline. Then the pain hits me My bad landing was a hyperextension of my left knee and a partial of my right.
While not unbearable the pain is still present and a constant reminder to not try stupid things without practicing first.
I dont think ill be able to play for a week or so, Luckily I know some sports therapists so ive gotten some decent advice on taking care of it.
Dom though was making me work for the elim, I was kind of bummed though when he told me that it was more of a defeat submittal than an actual elim. He should chime in though and enlighten us with the aquisition of his splatty which I believe to be his golden gun.

In my experience, 1v1 games are a LOT of work.
Get well soon.

I agree that they are work but they are also the most fun.

Most fun? Eeeh...
Splitting hairs here, but I think large pump games are the most fun but that 1v1 pump play is more consistently high quality. There's no downtime with 1v1. Either you're playing or the game's over.
I like playing in large pump games a lot more... until I have to sit on the sideline for 10 minutes because I took a shot off the break.
I think the big thing is that people are hesitant to start 1v1 games. There's some comfort in having teammates and hanging your butt out there all alone gives you that nervous rush.
The thing is, it's a lot easier to find one other person to play with than it is to find 5 or more. We should probably be encouraging more "duels" as a way to save money and still go out and play.

um Clearush and I had a ver similar expierence... cept we weren't behind bunkers very often lol...
1v1 is my favorite... it's like doing burnouts... you play till your tired pretty much...
hope the leg gets better man...

 @ doing burnouts; but you don't know about my buddy Skidmark. The man "dove" into the snake while shooting by throwing both legs parallel to the ground, abdomen still vertical and shooting. He slams the ground, breaking at least one pod, and slides a few feet on the wet grass leaving this beautiful pink skid mark along the way... I officially dubbed him Skidmark. Haven't seen him since he left the ROTC, though.
