Title: What Happened To Paint?

Interceptor - October 11, 2009 02:09 PM (GMT)
What happened to all of the brands that we used to use? Used to be, if I got rp schere, proball, or powerball I knew it would be good.stayed away from zAp and brass eagle because they sucked. I go into the shops now and I don't recognise anything. I've used the empire stuff with good results but what else is decent? And what happened to all the old brands?

They all just kept getting bought out for the most part.

Evil seems to be the more reliealbe brand for me of lately. I have tried APX paint the beast and I can't remember the name of lower grade but they both shot realy well a bit on the small side but the paint was breaking aginst trees being blown out of the barrel.

The minute you find a paint that you can trust, it'll disappear from the shelves. My favorite paint of all time was Proto paint; packaged in double thick boxes, congregated dividers and bubble wrap on top and bottom, shipped across country on climate controlled trucks. In the months of weekend use, I don't recall a single busted, deformed, oversized or undersized ball. If the field had Proto, I was one balling people all day long; end of story. (Which leads to a loss in revenue since I don't use as may, which influences the manufacture to produce lower quality paint... <_< )

our local field is going field paint only and they sell DBX i think or draxxus one of the two. the top quality paint is 15 bucks a bag and my phantom loves it. i use the silver detent ring and i'm golden. I also used to LOVE evil. my sniper and ion mowed faces with killer agg! my sniper was the one that did the mowing though. the ion just sat in my box :P

RPS premiums is what i always shot. the last time i shot them, i had them shipped to me for my very first tournament about 4 years ago. that stuff was better than i remembered it shot uber straight and broke where it needed to with the thickest, goopyest fill out of all the paint being shot that day. now whenever i go play, i just ask the guy at the counter for a bag of the best stuff they have.

You guys are lucky. The local fields here won't sell high end paint by the bag. I either have to buy a bag of crap, or find someone that'll help chip in for a case of guality paint.
