Title: I Am Recreating A Hornet - No, Not An Aci Hornet
Bored383 - September 19, 2009 09:44 PM (GMT)
some time ago I picked up the barrel for a Hornet - a somewhat rare oddball from way back when - and since then its languished on my project pile
today while taking a little nap I figured out how to make the pump for it
this is what the past couple of hours has resulted in. It works!!

and here is what I am recreating

Cool mod, i have never seen it before. Its a good idea realy. Cool recreation of some neat nostalgia. Did you profile the body's feedport like the old school ones too?

I am using an actual Hornet barrel

I added a decorative touch to the end of the first pump I made
it was some random, I don't know why I save them, aluminum spacer for between hard drive platters from between an OLD OLD OLD scsi drive I took apart years ago
lol
I had to hammer it on. Used a big flat file as a broad surface to get it on evenly, and a 3lb sledge. It aint budging.
it now has several coats of rustoleum drying on it
the 2nd pump is a stock class horizontal feed setup. In progress, obviously
excuse the crappy pic
:P

Is the barrel a unibody configuration?
