Description: 6months, 6events! infinite fun!
the underdog - September 15, 2009 03:27 PM (GMT)
So TN finally got it's own pump series! This year was the first year of the newly formed Pride Series. It's been a 6month long 6 event series that was battles for sure!
3EV was fortunate enuff to take the top spot and did it with integrity. Here's my lengthy write-up and thanks:
First off i just want to run through the thanks:
Thanks KP, for everything you've done for our community. You do not know how much it means to see a true to form series. That has been a dream i've been waiting to see come true since i picked up a pump all those years ago. You are the future of pump in our area, your hard work and dedication is un-paralleled(sp?) and much appreciated.
You've given us a chance to play competitive pump in our own backyard, and for that we are grateful. I can only hope that we've been able to express how much we truely appreciate you hosting the best damn series in the South East!
Mark and Rodney from Action Paintball- Guys, it has been an absolute honor to be associated with you and your store. I think we've formed a great relationship and look forward to representing you for some time to come.
also thanks for all your hard work to make the Pride happen. Ya'll helped set the stage for some serious competition over the last year, and we look forward to some more next year. The PA system, the attention to scoring details, and the overall concern for the ballers well being is over the top.
The Refs-Hands down the best refs i've ever seen, you guys should definitely be proud of your work ethic. We've(3EV) have been reffed by some great crews including head refs from the NPPL, and i have to say, without a doubt you guys are second to none. You go under-appreciated all day long, but in the end without you, this Pride Series would not be at the level it is now! thanks for all your work!
So, on behalf of 3EV, thanks to our sponsors and supporters-
Stockclasspaintball.com is a great forum for pumpers to discuss all things pumpy. if you have pump questions, that's the place to get answers! Plus they've allowed us to have an online home there for inter-team communication. Thanks Ben!
II Sports out of california is a great online store that sells all kinds of cool stuff. They have stuff for all you pump ninja out there as well as real ninja stuff, like swords and cool knives and stuff. cehck'em out! Thanks to Mike Masushige for his continuos support. We met him at a tourny in Cali back in 06 and have maintained a great friendship and business relationship with him. Thanks for all your help mike!
Of course Action Paintball, what can be said that already hasn't been said...if you need gear in the Mid TN region APball is where you need to be going. Paint, Guns(pump and that other kind), masks, softgoods, all kinds of stuff. you need it? they either have it or can get it! awesome group up there.
Sportraits Photography- Matt Baker is a true ambassador to the sport and we are priveledged to be associated with him. After years of knowing him, he never ceases to amaze me with his generosity. You sir are a true friend. you've personally lifted me up when down on my pball luck and for that i will be eternally grateful. Bad day? "there's always tomorrow" thanks brother!
To all the teams that competed this year! awesome times! Thanks for treating this event with the respect it deserved. It's a combination of many factors, but the integrity of all the teams that played the Pride are one of those factors that makes this series a truely exciting competition!
Lastly-To my brethren on 3EV. Thanks for clawing for those inches. we had some good competition out there, but your resolve and your gumption when we faced adversity makes me proud to say i'm a part of the 3EV crew. We had some roster challenges this year, but what's different than any other? For those that don't know, we have quite a few soldiers on our squad and it never fails that one, two, or three of our squad is overseas fighting for our rights and priviledges. To all the guys that got sent on mandatory vacation, i want you to know that we dedicated this Series to ya'll. Ya'll just get back safe ok!
I've said more than enuff! i'm out!
THANKS EVERYONE FOR A GREAT YEAR!!!

We are talkin and Im sure PRIDE will be back next year. PRIDE is a 3man tournament held once a month with ramping and pump divisions. As UD stated, the refs are hands down, the best Ive seen. Kevin (KP), the field owner, has a great look on paintball. he is oldschool. the way he plays and runs events is true love for the sport. Entry fees are 105 in advance or 120 the day of. as the title states, there is no flashy prizes, no magazine coverage, no huge sponsorships, and no crying allowed. we play these events for PRIDE. the sportsmanship, friendliness and honor here is exactly what pump ball, or any ball, is meant to be.
We hope to see more teams out at these events next year. www.prideseries.com
Well worth a drive to show up. There are talks of a 5man event one month for fun.
