Title: I'm Hooked On Brass!
Description: Piranha Long Barrel!

Watcher - August 15, 2009 02:55 AM (GMT)
It came the other day, I've spent the time since then restoring it.

I've: cleaned it, replaced bolts/screws, greased the pump slide, added a trigger shoe, oiled it, sanded the grips, stained the grips, replaced the spring, soldered a new bead-sight, polished the whole gun, and deburred the bore a bit.

Please excuse me if I go pic crazy

This is pretty much how it was after the initial cleaning.

Looks like another of the old Cousins rentals has come back to life.
They're fun to tinker with aren't they.

Amazingly!

And what do you mean by "Cousin's"?

Cousins Paintball sold off a bunch of old rental PMI 1s, short and long barrel Piranhas in the last year and the number engraved into the barrel kind of leads to that, I got a few straight from Steve Cusano almost two years ago.
Here's the P68 AT and PMI 1 DF, I also got a Piranha SB.

I soldered on the elbow to take 10 round tubes, although I'm thinking of stripping it and putting the direct feed back on.

Sheridans are a ton of fun to mess around with. I really like how they are quirky, but hate the regular valve. The cartridge valve has never given me an issue but I blow out Orings and seals on the other all the time.

You know Chem I need a valve body for my PG acquisition, it might be easier to find a cartridge valve for it.

What is the difference between the valve styles?

Does anyone happen to have a valve tool they can sell me for cheap?

Also, it may be a Cousin's rental as I got it shipped from New Hampshire...

Is it common for these guns to not have the PMI stamp on the barrel?

My bud came over the other day with his AGD "memorabelia". We had some fun.

Just made it official with my own 6-Pak!

Front sight was robbed off an F-2 Illustrator. Tape is used to space it a little better. Its a temp fix.

Nice, brass is definetly addicting, i have been bitten by the big too. Killer 6-pack, i have been wanting one for a long time but just cant bring myself to pay what they are bringing. hopefully i'll come across one for a bargain someday.

I think someone walked off with my WGP and sheridan valve tools. As for differences, The cart valve is fully contained and the older version is a stacked assembly. The older requires the valve tool while the cart can just slide out.

And for some odd reason I just picked up another PGP. I really like them to mess around with.
