CanCons - There's six of us arriving early on Friday, but we're playing 18 holes at Rock Creek Golf Course in the afternoon.
Friday night is Green Gables Night.
We'll see everyone at EMR on Saturday morning.
Friday - Other CanCons are coming down later in the day, but they may decide to relax at the Colonial Brick.
Jeffy can't make this trip, due to family obligations.
amhildreth - July 22, 2009 07:41 PM (GMT)

Would be willing to help with the "keg problem" if needed. :D
Meph - July 24, 2009 04:16 PM (GMT)
They must be wheelchaired dildo races.
kevdupuis - July 24, 2009 08:59 PM (GMT)
I only wish I could make it down.
papaintballer - July 24, 2009 10:00 PM (GMT)
I dunno who all from my teams coming, if any. If none do, then im gonna need a driver :( Like catch a ride to eat, however I have a nice bonus, instead of going to the J and paying 11 bucks or whatever it is for a shower. If someone wants they can goto my sister/brother in laws apartment and get a shower. Ill show them how to get there, they openly invite anyone to from my team or thats with me.
Also, I doubt anybody has S6 or something I could use do they? :P or a pump mag or something.. Im just not in the mood to rock a phantom for the game.

Let me see if I can bring a pump mag with me. The person I sold it to dosnt use it and I dont think they ever have.
ULE with a centerfeed or AM stockfeed and vert air.
papaintballer - July 25, 2009 01:00 AM (GMT)
well i need something for open class. As long as i can use one of my tanks and hoppers Im fine. If you could get it that'd be awesome as Ive yet to use or even see one in person yet.
Njstockplayer - July 28, 2009 12:58 AM (GMT)
Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place, but... I have two issues that I hope to solve ASAP.
1- Where do the non-regulars (SIGH--- LONERS) on this forum report for this game? I've taken a long break from the game, but I'm headed to EMR for this event even though no one could head out with me! I think the only person on this thread whose name I recognize is Stroker Ace-- back from a few years ago (I brought my wife (then girlfriend) Faith along). What ever happened to the guy who made his own side PGPs?
2- I have CASH, but missing a few key gear items. Anyone have the following they want to sell/trade AT EMR. Money is not a problem- (I don't care- gouge me!) but I doubt I can order and receive in time from a retailer. My items have been delayed far too many times in the past.
Gas thru stock- (for a Sniper 2000+ model)
Coil remote
Harness with a few pods and (Nitro Duck) back bottle capacity
Trade items--
Untested Automag- will bring to EMR (nothing special- classic version)
Nelson-based pump with long barrel- Assassinator (running on 12 grams)
THANKS! THANKS!!!
papaintballer - July 28, 2009 02:06 AM (GMT)
ill bring my harness's and brand new never used remote.
TrojanMan - July 28, 2009 01:18 PM (GMT)
NJSP, glad to hear you're coming. I *think* I might remember you guys but I'm terrible with names. EASix is our resident PGP mad scientist but he hasn't made it the past few years.
The procedure for non-regulars is the same as it is for regulars. Show up, get yourself a few beers and when you're tired, pick a rack and crash. Wake up and shoot people. As long as there's open space, you're welcome anywhere.
And if money is no object for you, maybe I'll pick up that mag for cheap? :ph43r:
Njstockplayer - July 28, 2009 03:26 PM (GMT)
I'm staying at a hotel, but thanks for the offer! Glad to be FINALLY playing some pump...
The 'mag is definitely for sale/trade. Quite frankly, I have no interest in semi guns. That style of play just isn't me. It's completely untested- I bought off Craigslist cheap on a face to face deal and removed the bottle for my main gun.
Star69 - July 28, 2009 06:51 PM (GMT)
The Marshals Cometh. so far 2 of us possibly 3 or 4
SnowZone - July 29, 2009 01:55 PM (GMT)

Brimstone - July 29, 2009 07:25 PM (GMT)
if someone cold bring me a stock autococker bolt pin it would be awesome, the one with the button on top
greenmtnphantom - July 29, 2009 07:51 PM (GMT)
papaintballer - July 29, 2009 08:30 PM (GMT)
if your not picky about having a push pin or not brim, I'll bring one. Just its the regular style metal one.
Chemical X - July 30, 2009 01:31 AM (GMT)
The pump mag will need a bottomline ASA of your choice, macro and line.
Aside from that its in tip top shape.

amhildreth - August 2, 2009 06:43 PM (GMT)
so how did the game go? The Squirrels couldn't represent this year. Sucks. By Thursday at noon, I had already gotten a $75 fine for driving the wife's car and being tagged because she forgot to get it inspected last month, had a pothole on 590 break the exhaust on the van. On top of these, I had to do a homework assignment and review 6 chapters and 2 Powerpoints for a major exam in Anthropology on Monday. I pouted most of the weekend while thinking about my gear. StrokerAce was out too, when he had to spend almost $300 on vehicle parts. His travel and play budget was immediately shot. Next year......oh..next year.
TrojanMan - August 3, 2009 01:09 PM (GMT)
There was a bit of pain involved for a lot of us.
Some of us got food poisoning from the J Buffet. Some of us indulged a bit too much Friday night, against our better judgment. Some of us just couldn't drink enough water on Saturday (it was absurdly sweat-inducing weather). And some of us did all three, toughing it out nonetheless before finally succumbing to exhaustion after gorging on cheesesteaks and pizza Saturday night.
For my part, I had a great time. The game itself was more fun for me than any of the previous years, perhaps excepting PPIII. Success was mixed. For every brilliant 3-elim low-crawl I made, I probably took a lucky longball to the tank (or somesuch similar nonsense) in equal measure. Sometimes I just got sloppy. Breaking a flank at one point, I made two clean eliminations and hit a hole in the line on the right side. At a range of perhaps 10 feet, I thought I'd perhaps get a bit closer and just make the quiet barrel tag run down the line. That's when the guy I didn't see popped me in the lens. Boys and girls - make your shots when you can and don't try to get fancy.
Yellow played a fantastic game. It seemed like they were sticking together in larger groups than we were and I think that won the game for them. We could still move around the field well enough, but when they wanted to hold a position, hold it they did. The efforts of the few of us who attacked were mostly in vain. What good is making two or three elims when the other team is stacked four rows deep around the flag? Not much good at all. You guys owned the key parts of the field all day and my hat's off to you for it.
I think the fields worked well after some egalitarian tweaking the day before. As much as I'd like to see a game with less walking back to the dead zone, the buffer was useful for keeping the whole field in play and I can appreciate that. We still had the problem of people dropping out and leaving one team underhanded. I'm not really sure what we can do to prevent that in the future. Eliminate the lunch break, perhaps, but with the heat the way it is in August, I doubt that's a good idea.
Mad props to the refs, the sponsors and Brim. A lot of things teamed up against us this year and we still had a great time regardless. If we move forward off this one, it's only going to get better in the future. I suggest we start planning for next year very soon.
