Title: Fresh For 2009
Description: project 'cocker

ImmortalBlaze99 - July 10, 2009 02:57 AM (GMT)
After nearly 9 months of work, I finally managed to get this thing together- I'll end up swapping a few parts in the future, but for the time being, she's fine the way she is. My apologies for the pic- camera's battery died and this was the only one I managed to snap off before then. Enjoy!

Seriously though its a great looking gun, I bet with the pneumatics and parts youve selected that it really sings. It makes me consider popping my pneumatics back on as well.

I have a (chrome) ST swing frame if you are interested.

I second both comments. Purdy gun though.

Thanks guys :) I'm happy with her, but she still needs some tweaking.

Chem- The ST slider is a tad long pull-wise, and the trigger plate has a LOT of play that I don't exactly welcome. I feel like it kinda wastes the point of having the bomb 3-way. Is it the "newer" gen swing? the one thats NOT ugly as sin w/ the el cheapo trigger guard? Just LMK

Overall, I'd give the gun an 8/10- I'd REALLY like to re-spring 'er, and mebbe get a JAM or superfly bolt for when/if I play another tourney. With that AKA bolt in, there's a LOT of mass to move, so pinching paint is out of the question :/ . Other than that, and the ST on/off not quite matching the rest of the red on the gun I'm ok with it :)

You know Chem I miss my early St swing, I liked the bent wire trigger guard that was on it.

ImmortalBlaze99 - July 10, 2009 08:10 PM (GMT)
Kev- how can you like those early ones? I just couldn't ever got over how "cheap" it seemed, especially for some of the prices that I remember/think I remember. But then again, to each his own :P

Thats the one I have, I was accused of using a full automatic one day. I even opened up the grip frame to show 'em that it wasnt electric. Those frames were pretty amazing.

Chem- went out and played with 'er yesterday, and OMG! I hate to say it, but the phantom's gunna be collecting some dust for a while :( . After some minor adjusting to the frame, I think I've decided to keep the slider on for now- she shot smooth, fast, and VERY reliably. A little rough around the edges since she's still gotta break in, but damn I'm hooked (again). I have a ST swing in the works- found a decent price for one, and I'll see how that feels when it comes in.

I'll post more pics soon - just need to find the time :)
