I need a few opinions...

I already have 6 inserts for the Freak set, so I'm going to pick up a Freak Back and St!ffi tip for my Phantom. I'm torn between making it a 12 or 14 inch. I'm leaning towards the 12, but would like to see what you all think. Also... where in the world on Phantom Online/Wevo can I find the Phantom drop forward that mohawk Daniel uses??? Thanks!

either the 12inch or 14inch will be good. I think those ar the 2 most efficient lengths for barrels.

i've always like the look of 12s best, but the 14 will give you a little more length to push in on those airball bunkers. when you are playing your airball bunker super tight your barrel should be pressed into the bunker, and then you almost push the bunker away with your barrel and make a super fast snap shot.

if your thinking of keeping it running 12grams, i might consider going 12 inch because it'll take less air to push each ball out of the barrel so it might be a lil more efficient on 12grams. probably not noticable but efficient none the less.

that being said, i think if you buy the freak back, you'll have to get either a new around the barrel pump to fit the freak's milling or an undercocking kit for your phantom.

my suggestion would be to save your money, spend the $30 to send your phantom barrel to mongo or twinky to get it bored out for freaks. the phantom barrel is probably the best stock barrel out, and one of the best barrels period.

Two things: Wevo is closed. And Mike isn't really on the ball about posting new accessories on his website. Honestly, just email or call him. He is super quick and will get you what you need.

Edit: Also, for the price of the freak back, new pump handle, and stiffi tip you could just snag the brand new Deadlywind carbon fiber barrel. You should check that out.

Yep. Davinci posted up a couple weeks ago or so. Ryan (Wevo) has health issues and so he couldn't keep operations going. Definitely a loss. For a while, he was the only place with any selection of good pump gear and parts. Well, there was White Wolf... We all know about that. Guess that would make Wevo the only reliable place...

Undercocking -- Probably the stock that Davinci has on hand I'm guessing. But I do know that any product requests through wevopaintball.com and to Davinci directly can't be filled.

thanks man. i actually just talked to Mike from CCI while i was ordering some stuff... he didn't think that Wevo was permanently closed, but that he was just on a leave of absence (from the health issues). hopefully they aren't permanently down.

Colin just did a run of them. Only for use with undercocking kits as of now. He is working on one to use with the stock pump on the Phantom.

did you get the info for the drop? also, jeff is dead on with the stock barrel being the best! getting it drilled is easy. but the deadlywind should take the cake with phantom stuffs!

Alright, so I have the Deadly Wind barrel here in my possesion, but there's an issue with the undercocking kit. The only one I've been able to find was the one from Wevo's Ebay store, which looked just fine. I purchased it, only to wait 2 weeks and not receive it, followed by a message from Ebay saying that Wevo had removed the item and is not responding to any messages. So long story short, I now have to run a claim through Ebay to get my money back and I'm stuck here tapping my foot on whether or not I should just return the Deadly Wind barrel, seeing that there is NO other place at all on the internet that I can get an undercocking kit from. It looks like I am going to return it, but I wanted to see if any of you had a clue as to if there might be some other place online that sells undercocking kits for the Phantom? Peace.

No!! Don't return the barrel. Do you ever get a chance to browse the buy/sell/trade section of this site and mcarterbrown? UC kits pop up all the time. Rainman is another guy who makes the kits. Currently, he is out of anything but a couple silver ones, but I'm sure he'll have another batch soon.

Thanks jayare and zipper! I don't believe I will be returning that barrel now. DarkArmorPB had a sweet Rainman Black UC Kit as well as a Wevo Clear UC Kit... so hopefully at least 1 of those is still available. The best part is that I'm in MO right now, and apparently he is in the STL area, so I would be able to drive up there to pick it up (granted that it was available). Right now I'm just waiting to hear back, but I think I should be able to get my hands on one of those UC kits.

i think the rainman is gone, so go with the wevo kit

The rainman kits come now and then in the BSTs and rainman rarely does orders on them.

I think he did a run of them about a year ago.

But as for UC kits i would sugest getting a rainman. I have one on my phantom and I love it. (UDawg how much do you want for it btw or do you want it back. I think i may have something you want to trade for it.)
