Hey, sorry for the delay, I have a theme for yaz, however fields and generals are still in the works. I'll post after my fellow game organizer Noodles and I have a discussion about the exact fields, and "scenario" details worked out. Without further ado

PPVI = Muppets VS Fraggles

I need a Gobo for the fraggle general
and a Kermit for the Muppets

I will tell you the scenario will be simple, points will still be earned on a pull flag basis and maybe one or two simple missions that will encourage larger skirmishes.

I have to go look this up. Okay now I remember the Fraggles, it's been awhile. I just bought a second Phantom so I can't wait to hit PPVI with it.

Glad there's a theme and at that a hilarious theme.

Hmmmm.... ya know this is all coming to me now but this theme seems perfect for Scenario!

Seriously. The Fraggles have their little friends, the Doozers. They are like a combination of Engineers and Demolition experts. They can build tunnels and set dynamite charges. But yet they have their natural enemies such as Sprocket the dog, and the giant Gorgs, always trying to catch them. Then there's the trash heap Marjory, she is "wise" and can be like an Oracle.

Could easily have a story where the Muppets, while on a trip with the Piiiiiigs In Spaaaaaace, go through a Planet of the Apes type of time warp and end up crash landing in the Fraggle world. Muppets and Fraggles are all same size, so the Gorgs would assume them Fraggles and try to catch them also. But they have a new King in the Gorg world... SWEETUMS! He makes it so that they don't just try to catch them as pets, but catch them for food.

It's all basically writing itself in my head right now. I'll have to do some more research into the shows to see if there's more depth we can add.

Ya, I'm brainstorming of having a Gorg and a Sprocket on the field as role characters. But they'd be characters like the ones in the Holy Grail game, where they simply are there for fun. They don't work for either side, and don't harass people constantly. Just kind of roam the field and add an extra element to the game.

Sounds good Meph! Some role playing is great. I like the idea of non-interference.

I cannot wait to play this.

the theme sounds great for this years game, very fun. I love Muppets and Fraggle Rock, they were great shows. My favorite muppets was the one where The Blob was wreaking havoc on Muppet Land, it had a nice 50's style horror theme to it, and was very amusing. Maybe someone will dress up like Beaker and Bunson, maybe even see Gonzo in chaps and a cowboy hat, Miss piggy in a frilly lacey old western whore outfit (it happened in real life, not just my head).

Yeah the Muppet Show was great, I also loved the MGM show too.

The theme clearly shoulda been Baconators vs Vegetarians. :lol:
