Title: Bunk Beds

To whomever takes care of the sleeping arrangements....(which I think is Brimstone),

Christine and I will be attending this Spring Castle 2009 and just wanted to see if we could possibly grab the double bunk. Also, we're going to be bringing up a case of something alcoholic. Does anyone have a preference? I was thinking either Mike's hard lemonade or something from Victory Brewing.

You guys are set. We modified the bunk on the floor to the right of the window, so you two have plenty of space.

Ted and I vote for something Victory!

I suggest Bacon Vodka.

Bacon Vodka? I'll have to pass on that.

Noodles and Trojanman, is there any one of them in particular that you want to try?

TrojanMan - March 24, 2009 03:25 PM (GMT)
We've pretty much had everything from Victory. If I had to vote, I pick Hopdevil or Prima Pils. They're all good, though.

The golden rule is to bring up something that you enjoy so you're not disappointed if/when you need to take the extra home with you.

If what you really enjoy is Mike's, then bring Mike's. It's not my preference, but whatever. So long as you like it, it won't go to waste.

It's when people bring 30-packs of swill and then nobody drinks it that's the problem.

Alright, well I'm not sure what I was going to bring so I thought I'd ask your guys input. I guess it'll be up to whatever I feel like buying when I go to pick it up.

any chance there is a spare bunk yet for castle?

TrojanMan - April 8, 2009 09:33 PM (GMT)
Yes, there should still be a few free.

They won't be choice, but they're open.

Bring a sleeping bag and bed roll/air mattress if you care about comfort.

See you there!

thanks guys, ill bring some vodka or something to donate, or is prefered cash and we chip in on a half keg or keg?

TrojanMan - April 9, 2009 08:14 PM (GMT)
If we need to buy beer, we usually just make the decision on the fly and take up a collection as needed. It only takes three people to chip in $20 to buy a keg and ice, so it's not a huge deal. Having cash is always a good idea anyhow, since if you decide you want some extra paint or see a nice piece of gear for sale, it's good for that, too.

If you want to BYO, go for it, provided that it's something you like. We don't have much in the way of vodka (most people in the cabin prefer rum), but again, if you want it and will drink it, go for it.

We'll have 10 gallons of homebrew on tap and if we end up needing more, we'll probably pick up a keg (7 1/4 gallons). I doubt we'll need to, but we'll see.

Heck, if all you want to do is buy a few bags of ice to keep everything cold then that's more than enough.
